Does anyone have this, and are actually competent in it? I have the demo version and need to muck around with some images to put on invitations for my brother. But man, there is so much stuff to do and I'm so confused.

I'll PM someone with some problems of mine if you could just let me know you use it. Thanks in advance.

At home, I'm using Paint Shop Pro 7. I don't really like this program...i can't do many of the things I'd like...it lacks many features. But at TAFE I'm currently using CorelDraw 11 and Abdobe Photoshop 7 (both the latest versions) for a Graphic Design course. These two are much better than PSP7, and most probably PSP8 as well. So, if you would rather produce photographic art, I would reccommend Abdobe 7. Lately I have been re-creating some business logo's, and I'm finding that Abdobe can do more 'photographical' effects. But don't ever doubt CorelDraw, that has SO MANY damn features, it's awesome.
If you've got the money, I would buy both of them, not sure how much they cost, they're all supplied to us at TAFE.

CorelDraw is crap.

Photoshop 7:
RRP (2002): $1799 (ZDNet)
software.com.au today: $1,170.19

CorelDraw 11:
RRP (2002): $1,135 as part of Corel Graphics Suite (ZDNet)
software.com.au today: $565.12

For $1600+, I think most of us would settle for PSP8. Except F_F, who can't help himself ;)

Anyone with any brains would give Corel Draw to St Vinnies, and buy the 'Adobe Design Collection':

Photoshop 7
Illustrator 10
InDesign 2
Acrobat 6

All for under $2500 - best value by far, and industry standard software.
