i know he is with the roosters in the SANFL at the moment, but at any stage during his time at collingwood was he close to a senior game?

And how did he perform for williamstown??

Had a great year at North Adelaide. Came 8th in the Margarey Medal. Was surprised that he wasn't chased by Melbourne as replacement for Troy Broadbridge as was a very similar player. Height, size, weight and athletic ablility almost identical, a backman as well.

Very unpredictable player can do wizardry things but can also be a total gumby with shocking skills. Good height tho can play KP or middle and very mobile (like O'Loughlin from Swans but not as good of course)

just cos we delisted him doesnt mean he wasnt anything great. Look at the players we have let go for virtually nothin.

Lovett-Murray
Scotland
Betheras
McGough

these four players were our depth. Now we got none. The closest thing we now have to depth is O'Bree, Lokan, Shaw and Williams. Malthouse better hope these guys perform this season, otherwise he has a lot to answer for.

Shaw is no depth player, he is a certain starter. I forgive you if you haven't seen the last two matches, but Rhyce Shaw was close to second Best-On, if not, in the WC Eagles clash at Darwin, and was a reliable wingman in the practice match against the Power at Optus last Saturday.

Our depth this season is okay, but not in the youth department. If injuries strike, then we have no depth.

Tristen Walker is starting at CHB, Nick Maxwell is starting in the BP - In my best 22, so I have included Prestigiacomo and Jason Cloke as our depth players, as the replacements to those players. So those 4 players, may spend this year as fringe players, so atleast we got tall back options.

Andrew Williams will be very handy and also I think this year, we will see Ryan Lonie as a fringe player. Lonie has to earn a spot in the starting 22, and then has to keep it. Williams has the height and the overhead skills, so he will be handy. Should replace Didak in round 1, and then if good will keep his spot. Willo has had a very impressive pre-season.

Shane O'Bree may be just outside our best 22, and Cameron Cloke is hard to put in there, as much as I would love him in there.

Tristen Walker was never in my best 22, but after an ever-reliable pre-season and has shown leadership on the field, he has slotted in ahead of Cameron Cloke, who looks good, but still needs a bit more work IMO.

David Fanning should replace Richards as the second ruckman in the first month or two, so he adds depth. Is a ruckman, and can work and improve around the ground skills.

We have good depth if we can keep to a close to injury free season.

I am actually very optimistic about this season, however, think about how much better we'd be if we had those "second-teer" players like Scotland, Lovett-Murray, Betheras and Mc Gough. We got rid of them all for virtually nothing. I understand Mc Gough may be slow and his kicking let him down at times, but he has a football brain. You need to get something in exchange for these types of player. You have to agree with me there.

I was always a big fan for McGough. I loved him so much I got banned two years ago for sticking up for him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

PS. I am being serious.
