Would you take him at your club, and if so, what for?

I'd have him in a heartbeat, for pick 24 and Tivendale.

Pick 24 is still quite a reasonable pick this year, some good CHB prospects available. I wouldn't want to trade it away for an injury prone player who doesn't fill an urgent need in our team.

'Injury prone' is a relative term. He's missed a lot of footy with injuries over the past couple of years... but it's really only been a nasty quad tear that is thankfully behind him now and a knee (which can happen to anyone - they are circumstantial).

Having said that, with the rise and rise of Tadhg Kennelly and Craig Bolton since Saddo started to run into problems, plus the emergence of Sean Dempster and the expected debut next year of Matthew Davis, it's hard to see how Jason is going to get into our best 22 next year on a regular basis.

I'm hoping he stays, but would understand if he left.

Most of the Swans list is so underrated, that it will be difficult for us to get true value in a trade.
With Nicks, Ball & Schauble retiring and Maxfield & James likely, the Swans won't need to let players go.

How about Keating for Saddington.

Sydney need a replacement back up Ruck for Jason Ball and Brisbane need a bit more height in the back half (depending on what happens to Leppa) with retirement of Pike and White.

Both have had injury woes lately and would probably be on the same sort of money.

How olds keating? Sydney would want a younger backup ruckman and give them a little time to develop and flourish. You could offer Beau Macdonald... :D

Saddington's been around for ages, he's only 25 (I thought he was around 28-29). Very good player, would fit into the Saints defence well, with the many likely injuries we will have next year, he's sure to get an opportunity.

I would take either MacDonald or MacLaren for Saddington.

But my money's on Saddington for Steven Armstrong.

Armstrong? 180cm midfielder....best performance was 16 poss this year?

Why?

He's a quality outside midfielder will terrific skills, which we sometimes lack. While we have young midfielders that will "blooded" this year (Willougby, Schmidt etc) - we still need depth in case of injuries. IMHO he's the best young fringe midfielder on the market. All he needs is game time and the sipport of the coaching staff - no better place to go than sydney atm!

He aint no Spriggs, this kid can actually play. ;)

If your after a outside midfielder with good pace and kicking;

Would you take Tivendale for Saddington?

Please no. McLaren is seriously terrible. Just no good. MacDonald hasn't played in two years. Steve Armstrong showed promise a couple of years ago, but, Saddington has shown a lot more under Eade. If he can get back into that wing/hbf role he should be fine. He did an ACL remember - And in round ten. Will be back next year.
