Athletic and versatile player whose kicking skills and ability to read the play can hurt the opposition. Left-footer who provides plenty of run from defence. Vic Country U18 representative in 2009. 10.40mins for the 3kms at Draft Camp was impressive. Unable to do speed work as recovering from injury. Averaged 18 disposals in 13 matches for the Falcons with an efficiency rate of 71%. From Torquay FC.

Stats While Playing for Geelong Falcons in 2009 TAC Cup

Draft rater: medium defenders

Jasper McMillan-Pittard (Geelong Falcons, VIC)
Height: 185cm, Weight: 70kg, DOB: 01/01/91
Recruited from: Torquay
Has several admirers. An athletic run-and-carry type, he could be a late first- or second-rounder.
Draft range: 15-35

Draft rater: medium defenders

U18 eye-catchers: round four; Jason McCartney
Jasper McMillan-Pittard – The left-footer had 19 disposals after starting forward. I've seen him play midfield and back. He presented well and is a clean one-touch player.

"After he met with Sydney, (Swans coach) Paul Roos told his people 'don't worry about drafting him, let's put him on next year as an assistant coach," Falcons regional manager Michael Turner said.

"He not only answered questions but he asked his own questions of the clubs as well and that really impressed them."

"He's a very intelligent, deep-thinking kid. He asks a lot of questions because he's a big student of the game."

"I made sure I was asking questions of the clubs to show them that I had a bit of knowledge about their backgrounds," McMillan-Pittard said.

"It's all about presenting yourself the best you can and that could be the difference between getting drafted or not being picked up. I think by doing that, it's showing them that I've done my homework."

JMP is rated highly by some. Would not be surprised to see him go high at Adelaide or Sydney at Pick 13/14.

Most likely a second round pick, hoping he lasts to Adelaide's Pick at 29 :)

I loved the play where he dumped the clutch to rove the ball without breaking stride and split two opponents with his pace.

Isn't afraid to kick on his wrong foot.

JR and JMP on the HBF is fine by me if we go down that road.

Hughes like solid, pacy and versatile footballers with good character.

Shane Clayton has JMP in the top ten.

Looks like the type of player the Dogs, Crows and the Power might pounce on if they don't rate the talls.

some of these baby faces are making me feel old. Looks very laconic with his kicking. Looks to have the right tools but I personall want us to draft someone with a lot of pace.

Wouldn't mind Geelong taking JMP at 28 or even 17 to be devaloped by our backline and used to replace Milburn or Scarlett in the future.

He seems to have a great kick with his left and right foot, and he's pade and running ability would suit our game style well.

Aslo being a Torquay boy he wouldn't have to up-root from his family and friends which can be with some draftees.

McMillan - Pittard is a little girl, how many times does he fumble when
put under the pump, only then to handball to the middle of no where.

Tapscott would eat McMillan for brekky.

Id only take Pittard if he is there for our 5th pick.
