Surely has to get a run this week, he's been good form in the magoos whereas
Tyrone has been doing a good imitation of a goal post the last few weeks done absolutely nothing. Post in Vickery out

Would love Jayden to get a game, and continue to get games due to his form, but alas, I feel he's not going to make it.

The only way I can see him getting in is for Vickery - you can't rely on anyone but Graham to ruck, and Miller just does his job serviceably - all we could ask.

It would be risky to go in with both Post and Vickery - 2 big lugs who rarely touch the ball on a bad day.

I'd be happy with the Vickery-Post swap.

I don't think Ty has been that bad. Whenever he touches the ball he doesn't waste it. Just needs to imrpove his work rate and find the ball more pushing up the ground.

I'd like to see Post though. Still not sure at what end of the ground it'll be. I like him in defense personally.

Looks like we have to put up with statue Vickery for another week.

wasn't post drafted as a chb? Im sure the jets swapped him from chf to chb because he couldn't get near it, as a result he excelled thus got drafted. Why do we try to turn forwards into backs and backs into forwards

Post played equally as well at CHB and CHF for the Western Jets. He took more marks in the comp than anyone else and was very mobile for a tall. I'm sure the club has him in check and he'll get his chance.

I think he just needs to keep working hard until he gets his chance. I'd like him to have the same form he has shown in the burgers for 4 or 5 weeks before he gets a shot.

Vickery is learning also with every game and we'd all be crying for hin to get a run if was him instead of Post languishing in the reserves.

I'd be happy for them to put the best team out there this week and seal the 4 pts rather than experiment. Post will get to play plenty of footy this year if he keeps dominating for Coburg. 2 weeks ago every one was bagging him saying his form was poor.

That was Richo , but in Posts debut in the Nab Cup 2 years ago he played off halfback and on the wing and moved really really well against the Pies.

He is going to be very useful in a yearor two's time

i actually think he should be played as like a 3rd tall down back ala maxwell or someone like that who looks to give the other guys a chop out and take marks off opposition kicks etc i reckon that suits his abilities the best, natural runner/mark off half back not a target foward.

it seems like Dimma is taking a different approach to Post's development and its good to hear the improvment hes made so far this season.

I think Post has enormous talent and was worried we were getting nowhere with him.

If we had plans for Jayden down back this would be the week to play him there given Brisbane's top-heavy Forward line. If he isn't than I would suggest Dimma's plans for him are the forward line or Coburg. Not that I agree with this approach.

No, I think that would be a disaster. it's a highly skilled job to play 3rd man up in defence - you have to know where and when to go to which contest. Also, he needs to be a key linkman out of defence - I don't think Posty's up to that yet.

Remember when Richo played a year on the ball, and the opposition let him have the ball between wing and half-back every time? They knew he wasn't a good set-up guy. Too slow and a poor kick. Not who you want carrying it out of defence.

Post is a big guy - still growing into his frame. He'll be a KP. That's what he's got to be developed as.

3rd tall in attack - yes. 3rd tall in defence - no.

you still need to know when to fly and when not to as a third forward.

any player worth their salt who plays on the half back or half forward line can swap if needed.

Posty is actually a very creative player coming off half back. His run is a key feature of his game, as well as chopping off opposition kicks.

i really would have been tempted to play him coming off two good games in ressies whilst his confidence is up. ive seen him come into seniors and really struggle, clearly playing without confidence as he fumbles simple uncontested overhead marks...dissapointed we didnt make space for him

Is still a possibility coming off the emerg bench to replace a small/medium type before the game. I would say the brains trust are considering if they should do this to combat Clark and Leuenberger. Maybe a last minute change...
