Where is the lad? Not on the injury list, not playing and no news from the club. Hope he is ok and whatever is wrong getting what support he needs from the club to overcome it.

Injured a couple of weeks ago at box hill. This week we played a few up from development squad so maybe rested jed so he was 100% next week.

This. The few AFL games he's played this year I've felt he's looked off the pace in terms of decision making. Given the time he's spent out of the game at his age he's going to have to work pretty hard to get that game sense back I think.

something clearly not right with Jed even if he is currently out with a legitimate injury.

He was out with a sore back a few weeks ago, better to give him time to recover rather than rush him. He's no good to us coming into his prime a rundown hack. Have a little patience, guys.

Jed was at the Hawks v * game the other week being interviewed by Dipper on the ground before the game looked pretty happy so hoping all is well with him and his family.

The kid could be anything, I think we all got a bit ahead of ourselves about what a year out out of footy would do to him. I would like to see him get through the rest of this year unscathed and build his fitness and form at BH

Like Whitecross, Ando should forget about Hawthorn in 2015 and concentrate on getting right for 2016. Neither deserved AFL games this season.
If fit, this includes consistent VFL form - especially in the finals series.
He still has plenty of time to make it, but it won't be 2015.

From interviews I've seen of Jed, he comes across as a fine young man, and I feel sure he is doing what he considers the best in his own mind. Personally, I hope to see him back as soon as he feels he is ready, mentally and physically. All the best Jed.

My hopes of him winning this years Rising Star, Brownlow and Norm Smith and starting to slip away.
Mitchell won the jj liston with just 11 games. and BOG in the GF in the same year, so there's some hope.

Not sure why he hasn't come on as expected this year. My fear was that being talked up so much (even by the Chieftain!) he might have inflated his opinion of himself a little much, a la Mitch Thorp.

The one BHH game I've watched live he played his work rate didn't seem that high.

Whatever the reason, I hope he manages to get the best out of himself and that his bad run of luck is out of the way.

Let's not cast aspersions on the guy until we know what's going on behind the scenes.

Was it Jed who had the fairly serious illness last year?

Missed 2014 with pneumonia, then a shoulder.

Let's not cast aspersions on the guy until we know what's going on behind the scenes.

Aspersions? I'm just stating what my fear about him has been the last couple months based on what very little we did know and see (hype, down on work rate, bit of lairising).

In light of recent suggestions on social media that he's missing home I have a new fear to replace it!
