And when he gets dropped to the Magpies he plays in the midfield not as a defensive small forward. Hinkley thinking at its best

Lol yes, pad his stats so he can justify bringing him back to the AFL team.

If Geelong advance to to the grand final including Port, and Chris Scott brings in Tom Stewart. Does Ken Hinkley bring in Jed Mcentee to tag?

Could Jed become.. 2024 premiership player Jed Mcentee? boy oh boy

Yeah but he’s paid less than the other sprinters and he’s not expected to do as much!!!

We're fresh off Rozee and Butters averaging 17 and 15 possessions respectively in the finals and this board still thinks that the likes of McEntee, Evans and Narkle are the problem. Wild.

17 possessions is the highest possession count McEntee has had in a game ever.

Jed has pace? If we miss Perryman, why doesn’t the club at least try to develop him in that lockdown defender role Perryman was being brought in for? They rate his forward pressure; he has a year, and clearly isn’t working out as a forward. Might as well give it a go.

I mean, I kinda see where you're coming from but I don't think we can gloss over the fact that across the finals the aforementioned trio played a total of 23 quarters of football for a combined 43 touches and 1.1.

That's 0.6 possessions per player, per quarter, and a grand total of 1 goal - when they were all almost exclusively played forward.

They absolutely are a big part of the problem.

Arguably under the bomb it long game plan that will rarely result in a contested pack mark they are THE problem. Willie did his best but can’t do it all and Evans Narkle and McEntee are not AFL standard.
