I'm starting Sack Carr 1 if this doesn't happen.

Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
For every player delisted there needs to be a better player to replace them. In a historically weak draft, this would take some doing.I think the delistings should be harsh this off season so McEntee might struggle to stay on the list.
There are other things at play than just that. For every player delisted there needs to be a better player to replace them. In a historically weak draft, this would take some doing.

While his form the last few weeks has been a lot better, there would be 100 players across the state leagues who would be better than the version of McEntee we were seeing prior to that. For every player delisted there needs to be a better player to replace them. No need as we have extras on the list from the mid season draftFor every player delisted there needs to be a better player to replace them. In a historically weak draft, this would take some doing.
Depends what you're trying to achieve. In the real world you set standards by moving on players who are not justifying their spot.
Georgiades, Richards and now McEntee are the only forwards to do it all year.
We have players that cant even meet basic reqirements for fitness or effort
Wakey wakey.
Might have got him some trade valuePlaying him these last few games has put us in a no win position.
He should absolutely be delisted because probably 45 out of his 50 games have been awful and he did absolutely nothing in the SANFL to deserve the last chance he was given, but he's also probably in the best three game patch of his career. So if we don't delist him, it's yet another year wasted on a low ceiling not up to it spud. If we do delist him, then what the hell were we hoping to achieve by playing him, because he's played better than could be expected only to get delisted anyway.
1st rounder because he makes good Mac and Cheese.Might have got him some trade value![]()

Are we making list decisions based on the past or the present? Not sure why you would remove most recent form when making an assessment on a players potential. For all we know Josh has had a quite word to him and he's responding. While his form the last few weeks has been a lot better, there would be 100 players across the state leagues who would be better than the version of McEntee we were seeing prior to that.
Omfg this is Roko’s basilisk levels of torment. Do not manifest these types of ideas into existence.wondering if McEntee could play as a small lockdown defender, something we struggle with
Are we making senior coach decisions based on the past or the present? Not sure why you would remove most recent 13 wins in a row when making an assessment on a coach's ability. Mac N Cheese is overrated anyway. Too much cheddar for my liking.Anyway he went back to his usual output the last couple of weeks so back on the delist pile he goes.
Playing as a half forward vs a backman is a big difference though, easier to rack up those touches from Pittard/Bonner/Burtons positions. The problem is our expectations are so low we are lauding a 12 disposal game as a "give him another year moment". If only our expectations were so low of Pittard, Bonner and Burton.
Every time this thread gets a new post in the next 48h, I will get a little excited that a certain announcement has been made. And I’m NOT talking about a contract extension. Sorry, TeeKray and other Jedis.

I guess I’m a sad bloke then. Following a football team that has rewarded mediocre performers with selection for the past few years hasn’t made me happier. Great that we reward hard tryers though. It's a bit sad for you and others that you get excited by a fringe small forward who always gives his all getting delisted but each to their own![]()
There isn't a world where Cheese should get a new contract however I have sympathy for him because Donuts has consistently played him out of position and in a thankless role. He doesn't have the quality to play AFL on-ball or be a regular goalkicker. I don't like calling players spuds at all, he'll be a decent SANFL player and will probably get a flag at Sturt.Playing as a half forward vs a backman is a big difference though, easier to rack up those touches from Pittard/Bonner/Burtons positions.
His last few games were decent - if you didn't know his history and he was a new MSD pick, you'd offer him another year. It's only because we know he's a spud from before that we wouldn't.
Don't think anyone is suggesting he gets a new contract - but he may have done enough to honor the contract he already has for next year. There isn't a world where Cheese should get a new contract however I have sympathy for him because Donuts has consistently played him out of position and in a thankless role.
