Yeah Larkey + Trembath + Walter seems too tall and lumbering and too stuck inside F50. Darling is far more mobile and does a lot of running and leading all over the ground, I don't know if Walter would be that guy.

Right now Read is out, probably 2-4 weeks. Personally, I would play Jed ahead of JUH.

Interesting to see if Dimma will go again with 2 rucks against North and what it means for Jed and JUH (should be available).

One of my favourite Eagles players is Shanahan. I am sure you would agree he is a great talent.

Walter's ToG in AFL this year is 62%, Shanahan's 88%. Despite that, guess who averages more goals and contested marks this year.

I think it's getting to a point with Jed where it would be a real risk chasing him.

You'd have to offer 5+ years at >800k plus trade good picks. Some of the deals being put out in the media are even higher.

He's in his 3rd year and shown few signs he'll be a star. And he needs to become that to justify the above. Yes, he was a good junior but highly drafted key forwards have a long history of being hit and miss.

Im not saying he wont make or be a good player but right now the risk/reward of trading for him is looking iffy.

Well it does depend on what is needed in a trade.

And noone is convinced a top pick is needed.

Dawson went to the Crows for pick 17.

He is a 3rd year tall, I'm sure it can be improved.

Still think its a case of a KPF getting to play early so everyone expects a bit much thinking he's been around forever. Probably doesnt help there seems to be a lot of very good young KPFs at the moment. Id still see him as a 40 goal a year forward.
