Given the relatively poor performance of the ruckmen in the comp this year, does anyone think White has a chance at AA?

Although its more than likely that Dean Cox will get selected, they usually have two spots in the AA team for ruckmen, and this year that 2nd spot is still relatively open IMO.

White has the highest number of average disposals per game for a ruckmen, and is ranked 5th overall in total Hitouts. He would probably quite close to leading our B&F as well.

The other competition I could see would come from Lade, McIntosh and perhaps Sandilands.

Lade is averaging 0.2 of a hitout more per game, but 5.7 disposals less a game.

McIntosh is averaging 0.7 of a hitout less per game, and 0.5 disposals less a game.

Sandilands is averaging 7.8 hitouts more per game, but 3.4 disposals less a game.

All in all, I'd say he'd have a pretty reasonable chance.

MacIntosh would probably be ahead of him. Lade too. He has been pretty good but hasn't done too much effective work around the ground, regardless of his possession counts.

McIntosh will be the No.1 Ruckman.

Cox and Lade to name a couple would be ahead of White for that no. 2 spot, White (whilst he will probably win our B&F) will have to have a damn good 2nd half to the year to stand any chance.

His numbers were also great against Richmond but did they really help at all?
He doesn't really do enough damage but we take for granted how mobile he is some times.

Needs to kick more goals, something Cox, Sandilands and McIntosh all do.

Hahaha he is one of the worst tap ruckmen in the competition! The guy gets smashed in the ruck but makes up for that by being "ok" around the ground.

Cant see it happening...
For starters All australian selectorn neglect Demon players. Hust think to how Robbo wans't selected after his 70+ goal season 2 years back...

Besides Mcintosh has played well this year and his team is winning.
Lade has been average as has Sandi but dont rule out Ottens either.

He would def be our only prospect for AA tho. No one else will come close at this stage.

I love Jeff White but the only reson he get touches is because he is the sideways man i have never this year since him run forward always just stays side on that really gets be pissed bring one PJ for no 1.

How many All-Australian Ruckman win the hitouts but the team doesnt win the Clearances, especially when he is going against a 3rd Ruckman?

For all you dreamboats out there JEFF WHITE i replied to a thread at the start of JUNE and quote JEFF WHITE is he actually any good this year he is going terrible, and to be honest i cant remember him since years ago when he used to be able to jump over players, now he cant obviously since the changes but what does he do around the ground !!

What it comes down to boyd is hw has been sensational for our club. He has rucked for the last four years by himself. Jamar (dud ) Johnson not a dud but cant work unless someone tells hin to. So ease up on big JEFF.

White's been consistent so he'd have to be a chance. Mcintosh won't win it, he's improved, but he's not an elite ruckman. Also, some of the other candidates like Lade and Sandilands have been poor. I believe it will come down to either White or Cox, as Cox looks like he'll come home strong.
