Apart from a few hit outs here and there it's hard to find anyone that plays the same position with better numbers, a dozen possessions and one and a half goals a game with the ability to pinch hit in the ruck is about as good as it gets in that position.. except for a Westoff, he has exceptional numbers and the height to go in the ruck

But as far as shit trucks go.. there are a lot worse than Jessie

I agree he actually has been ok this year, it's just that it looks like he could do so much more. He often chooses to just not compete at times when he needs to and drops marks we all expect him to take.

I try to see him as a small when he plays forward as he doesn't mark and is a pretty good crumber

If him and Cloke had kicked a bit straighter we would have beaten Freo and Hawks and been lauding both of them.

I don't think we can have White, Grundy and Witts in same team rotating ruck and forward.

You're right Bucksboy, White isn't as hopeless as us fans make out sometimes... but he is definitely one of the most frustrating players I've ever seen which causes so much angst and emotional posts about him.

Everything he does is "almost"

He almost takes a great mark (5 times a game)... he almost kicks the game winning goal... `he has all the physical tools to be a dominate player but something is just missing and it's hard to watch sometimes.

I agree Kappa. White's statistics have basically been the same all of his career. In his break out year with Sydney in 2013, his stats were lower then than what they are this year.

So after 6 years in the system it is unlikely there is going to be anything other than marginal improvement unless he is used as a ruck rover. But I believe the Pies knew that when we drafted him. What the Pies would be hoping for is that he hits a contest and makes the best of his chances when they crop up...something that he has consistently failed to do and this is the most frustrating thing about him.

All he needs to do is just clunk those marks he should & kick those goals he should and it'd be all good. He definitely isn't all that bad as some make him out to be. Plays his role, that's all we ask.

I think Jessie has been OK. Doesn't deserve that whipping boy tag, he gets from many. Yep, we'd all love him to play better and kick those crunch goals but he's done alright, especially for the cost. Some must have expected a top notch key forward/back up ruck for a pick in the 40's.

Funniest thing is many who shit can him, are advocating trading for Vickery. We judge our own, so much harder then the opposition.
