Firstly I can't work out how he scored so low on the weekend considering the amount of disposals (with only 4 clangers and 75% effectiveness from memory) & marks he had

Have been watching his price drop for a number of weeks and trying to work out if he is a good buy.

Seems to have bottomed out about now, however his scoring is a concern still. (When I heard he got 41 touches this week i expected to see a 150+)

Considering the amount of good options in his price range, do you think he is worth picking up. Cats have an easy run during the finals and he could be handy.

If I was to get him, it would mean trading out K.Cornes. As it is at the moment, it would appear to be a side-ways trade.

What is everyone's thoughts on Bartel?

footyfan, yeah he got alot of it but he butchered it a fair bit which is probably why his SC score wasn't as good as his DT score.

Good to see him back in the middle though, he's been carrying an undisclosed injury and playing off a wing for a fair while. If he can string a few good scores together it might be worth picking him up.

Disposals were good as outlined above but it is only half the points scoring. I dont think the issue is how he is getting rid of the ball... it is how he is getting it.

Just what I was going to say. He also only laid 1 tackle.

Birchall was the same this week. Had 27 possies, barely missed a target and kicked a goal, yet only scored 67 points. Need to get that contested ball and do the hard stuff to rack up the really massive scores...

yeah i had got him last week, i thought he was gonna get a big score but nearly all his disposals were handballs.

That's why players like Hodge, Goodes, Ablett, Cooney and Kirk are such good SCers. They are the ones getting the centre clearances where the big points are scored.

Jimmy back to his best it would appear.

Im a bit annoyed I didnt get him when he was down at 450k. At the time it was because of injury concerns and it would apear those concerns are still there.

If Goodes is out for an extended period of time I will be looking to trade him and Jimmy is an option.

Is he a good choice considering cats play Demons, Swans, Roos, Eagles over the finals, or do you think he might get rested in lead up to finals
