If, as is rumoured ,Jimmy Stynes does in fact take over the helm at Melbourne, what positives do you believe he will bring to the role?

I would say the best thing he will instantly bring the club is a more public profile. Presidents these days are more and more in the public eye with the like of McGuire & Kennett, Stynes has a far larger public profile then Gardiner as a former AFL champion, Brownlow medalist and being among the first players to sucessfully come over from Ireland.

This is something we're crying out for, we need a strong figurehead if we're to rebuild our public image and Jimmy is our man.

Stynes is also highly regarded amongst many for his charity work. This can bring a lot of positive attention to the club as well

I would prefer it if Stynes was given the position. we don't need any more off field drama distracting the club

On TFS last night Lyon mentioned a peacefull takeover after the 150th celebrations in June. From previous statements i've heard from Gardener i dont think he would try to oppose it.

How many current AFL Football Club Presidents have played football for the club they represent?
