He really should be proud of himself.

He has worked very hard on his kicking over the last month and is hitting targets with monotonous ease now....

Where is Yagabomb, who said the following....

"watson is nothing short of rubbish"
glad we agree on this one Mervyn !!!!!

jobe has won me over the last month, his winning ability is fantastic along with his evasive skills, although its looks un-orthodox

What does this bloke have to do to spend more time on the ground? Once again on the weekend around 25 possies and just over 60% time on ground. What irritates me more is that he is always on the bench to begin a match or after breaks. Where is the logic in have your best clearance player on the pine at centre bounces.

I can see the logic in that. IIRC, he came to the club mainly as a CHF, so he probably doesnt have the fitness base of other mids. Instead of putting him in against the other fresh mids from the opposition, Sheeds sends him in later. Jobe is fresh while the others are fatiguing, so he has a better chance of getting it out of the middle.

Bet you didnt mind this tactic against Richmond ;)

No he came to the club as a tall midfielder who went through a growth spurt, and given his lack of fitness due to his injuries (from the growth spurts) they hid him down forward at Bendigo until he got himself right.

And I don't agree with him not starting. Players are extremely fit and have multiple rotations so saying he is against fatigued players is nonsense. Sheedy is a conservative pr!ck and beceoms more and more so, everyday.

Watson may not have the motor to run out games, but he would still be far more effective on the ground even when not on the ball. He would provide a good target up forward and would provide some polish around goals for guys like Davey and Lovett.

Listening to last nights game, it was kind of funny how when Jobe Watson got the ball, the commentators said "you know Jobe Watson is going use the ball well everytime" or something like that (i cant remember exactly). It's kind of funny looking back at the start of the season because it was the exact opposite with his disposal. His disposal isn't just good now, it's starting to look classy from what i saw from a few of his disposals last night.:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:
