Unless he can articulate how we get better than just 'i'll do it', or 'lets fix them up after the finish playing to attract players' its a no from me. I don't mind the idea of refreshing older board members from before 09 era.

not that i am suggesting this dude is the messiah or will not **** up like others have, but really man? i mean do you really need "articulation" on how we can get better, when ****ing people on distant planets know the answer to that

And what's the answer?

You say "sack everyone and bring in good people", but who? Do they want to come? What's their own contract status? How much will they and payouts cost? What will they do that will improve us? And on and on

All this requires vision, a plan to achieve that vision, and the resources to make it happen

We have had some people suggesting off field changes that would add $3-4m a year to our costs, where is this money coming from?

My issue with Russo was the one idea he did spell out (better off field financial benefits for players post footy) is actually prohibited

Wanting a vision and details of the plan to make it happen isn't about blocking good people. Its about stopping the next clueless idiot like Mal Brown, or big spender like Casey

Spot on RFC but we will stump up the payouts like we always have and always will

I don't mind payouts, as long as they are pushing us in the right direction

I don't want to go $5m in debt, and then add to that because our high price dream team was shite

well here is the thing....you want to achieve without risk correct? I mean, yes we need good people etc in the right seats, but that only comes when you have the right people selecting the people. Right now, the current FD dept is shite, as alot here suggest correct? Forensic review 101 = who is responsible for hiring it = exit door. Interviews and select another to do that job. Now if that fails, then we look higher and then go up from there....its ****ing pointless looking to the bottom for answers to a problem that emanates from the top ;)

Few things wrong with your plan

Firstly, you kniw what you want out, but you have no idea about what you're bringing in. Before any role is sacked and replaced we should know exactly what we want this role doing, and the abilities they nrrd to do this

Otherwise its just craps

Secondly, this approach encourages no risk taking. If you say "fail and you are gone" people work to minimize the chance of failure, rather than aim for success

You cannot eliminate risk, and anyone who says you can is a dick. What you do is identify it, and them manage it, minimize it, or avoid it

Risk is a good thing, as long as you identify and plan for it

Dude, wtf are you on about? I mean, i understand you want to come across as some kind of executive guru with all that shit you spruik, but I am just a dude who goes to the footy and wants change. I am not a footy person who walks in footy dept circles etc. Lets put it this way, all i will say to your lame stupidity about I have no idea about what we bring in etc...if the board and whoever is responsible sit on their arses content with all their appointments and dont have fingers in pies all over the place seeking new up to speed can doers and have plans in place to head hunt those resources then we are completely and utterly ****ed and are run by a bunch of arse clowns....there, does that answer your question?

No it doesn't

You want the board gone so we can choose board members who will make the right appointments

How the **** can you determine which are the right board members to do this if you don't ask them who the type of people they plan to bring in?

THATS the point

For instance, I can say "I'm gunna bring across hawks entire footy ops team". Sounds good. Can it happen though? They are probably contracted, and will probably cost a mint to poach, which will blow out our debt. So my plan is unfeasible and stupid. You wouldn't know this however unless you asked me what I wanted to do

All i am going to say is this....when Hardwick was given the nod by the 8 man panel, Port had put a proposition to him to do a succession plan thing with Choco and I can gaurantee ya, we were ****ing sucked in again and jumped thinking we wont get our man...we always fall for the same ****ing trick, be it a coach or a Hampson etc...we are amatuers.

What are you talking about?

We had a lengthy process that determined a final three, which was then whittled down o hardwick and Hinckley

We did not rush the decision (in fact the club were abused in the media for taking too long)

Hinkley over Dimma any day of the week

won a final in his first year in charge and got to a prelim the following and was robbed by the umps otherwise port wouldve played in the 2014 granny from 8th position

correct, but for a dead laptop he would have been at the druggies, and we probably would have had knights or hinkley

I can now understand he probably trotted out some spreadsheet and PowerPoints and impressed the lawyers.

some say that the 2009 meeting with us was an early episode of dimmas dissection

I wanted Hinkley back then, but the massive drop off is a concern

Don't think so

The bigger issue was hr didn't rate their list (knights did) and he said indigenous players should be treated like everyone else on your list (knights disagreed)

The power sat him down and outlined a succession plan to take over from Choco over a 2 year period 3 weeks before the appointment...then a week out from the appointment the Power had him over again and upped the ante and while this was happening, the panel were mulling over their pick...and we end up with hardwick and choco....lmaoooo and they end up with Hinkley and the rest is history and here we are...like yes you might suggest luck and all that shit, but to much unlucky shit has been happening to this club to suggests its luck only...we have form and the rest know it.... ;)

Not disagreeing he talked to port, but how can you say a process that took months, had a final three and then a final two, was rushed?

We definitely panicked on wally. Disagree on this one

Agree to disagree....took months? first off let me just say this, its totally ok to hold exhaustive processes and come up with, you know what dudes, we had didnt find anyone we think could cut the mustard, so here you go Jade, have another crack for year and see if you convince us,before we look again....the field of candidates we had was shit...by and large they were dregs that hadnt got a gig in 78 previous attempts etc....Hinkley? to cut to the chase, he too is a meh no game plan, got a few guns and let them role and fire up the troops type coach...I am convinced we got sucked in... its all an opinion anyway
