Fast developing into an elite midfielder. Also able to do a job down back when required. Hard at it and now has the body to cope against other hard bodied midfielders.

The sometimes suspect disposal and decision making has improved with experience as is now in the 80 game plus bracket.

Predicted a big year in my Player Ratings at start of season and is well on the way to it regularly amassing 25-30 possessions a game.

Just wonder how much longer some people will keep underestimating his considerable talent.

Smithy was always like a two-year old thoroughbred. So long, gangly and awkward.

It's taken 5 years, but he's bulked up and grown into his body and we're seeing the results of it.

He's going to be scary good in 2-3 years when he's at his physical peak because he will truly be able to use his size to advantage.

Yeah, I've noticed that as well...the heat comes on in the second half, and one of the corey's will have a blinder of a second half. I love it

PATDMAN and I have discussed our 4th Quarter Specialist one Mr J Corey before.

Good thing about him and Enright is they are both more in that Hird mould of midfielder. Not saying they are in that class but they play on ball and can then go to defence or attack and play tall or small. They then become very hard to match up on

Couldn't agree more.

His disposal has improved markedly and is quickly turning into a great midfielder.

Our midfield is now matching the best in the AFL in my opinion.

Joel Corey seems to have a huge amount of endurance. When other midfielders are beginning to tire a bit in the second half, JC is still unfatigued.
