Whats the go with this kid, is he injured? I really liked the look of him last year. Will he be right for round 1, will he ever become the star i think he will? Also whats the go with Laycock, was extremeley impressed with him in last years wizzer but why has he not been given more of a turn, what does 2004 hold for him, and will he become a ruckman or CHF, i just can't tell with the amount of bloody Ruckmen u have.

I'm also interested in whats happening with joel reynolds. I was very impressed with him last season before getting injured. I'm expecting big things over the next few seasons.

Reynolds has played the past two games for Bendigo, in one he played pretty well and in the other he was just going okay.

Laycock has been held back by shin splints for all of last year and this preseason, he is a week away from being ready to resume for Bendigo. The splints were said to have been caused by a growth spurt which sees him standing at 202cm, as reported on the bomberblitz forum.

And to think that this kid is probably going to be predominantly a forward rather than a ruckman - 202cm CHF sounds pretty good doesn't it.

I wasn't comparing him to richo Pevers...Just stating that you can be as atheletic as they come but unless you work hard it all amounts to jack sh1t.

Yeah - just taking the opportunity to knock Richo. He is a disgrace with his onfield antics and I pray noen of our players will take on his attitude.

sorry to bring this back up, but i read in the Sun that Reynolds has bulked up and looks set to become the outside midfielder you need. Anything to back this up or updates on how he is goin? will he play round 1? Also will Laycock play this year or does he still need to develop more? And finally what makes everyone think he is going to play CHF i would have thought ruck with Hille in 2-3 years

Reynolds would nearly be a shoe-in for round 1 if he's fit, considering all the injuries we've got, not to mention he's a 'Sheedy Favourite'. Whether that is good or bad depends on your opinion, i'm still undecided on Reynolds, he's got the brain, but i'm not sure if sometimes his mind thinks more than his ability can deliver.

As for Laycock, he's injured at the moment, and the reason he's regarded as a CHF prospect is generally because Tristan Cartledge is seen to have better rucking credentials at this stage. This may change down the track, but it's likely at the moment that we'll see him develop into a half forward option who has short stints in the ruck, that's not to say he's a bad ruck option, just underdeveloped compared to Hille and even Cartledge at this stage.
