Sorry to intrude here.
I'm guessing a major reason for him wanting to leave Collingwood, is because he wasn't getting a go at AFL level.

He is a good overhead mark and is a decent kick but he can only run in straight lines, has the turning circle of a truck and goes to ground to easily.

I'd say leave him for a bottom 8 side and look elsewhere.

Chappy in a forward pocket?

Don't think so, especially without Ablett in the midfield, he will play mainly midfield with stints on a half forward flank

I would have also highlighted Varcoe, looks primed to take the spot Ablett left, and have a much higher percentage of gametime in the midfield.. fingers crossed anyway.
 
Anthony would be a good pick up because we have a lot of defenders who will probably retire soon and we don't have many defenders or they are still developing. Anthony who can play defence would be a welcome addition paticurly as if all our fowards get injured or have to play in the ruck again.
 
Well Collingwood did try to trade him.
Don't you think we would have used both picks in the 50's (that we don't look like using) if we were interested?
 
I've heard he is an odd fellow and was shipped off with a stern disclaimer from Collingwood attached to him. Probably explains why he didnt play that much in 2010.

Ah well. Freo have a long and illustrious history of horrific trade decisions

If he does make it through to us at the Dockers it is going to be very interesting to see how he performs. Many comments all over Big Footy about him being a different sort of character. Never met the guy and he has a chance to make his mark as a young full forward.

Could make a big difference to our forward line in 2011!
