Assuming that you disagree with the idea, why is it a bad thing to consider?

I think its a good idea, myself.

I know I wouldn't give a **** if we adopted the Pacific Dollar with no queen on the back.

Don't most of them get their currency minted in Australia anyway?

Bet you would if Australian monetary policy was dictated by Samoa though.

I dont really see the benefit for the small pacific countries. They would suddenly loose all control on exchange rates, interest rates, and no say in any monetary policy. (Or so little say as to make it useless).

There are massive advantages ask someone that has lived in South America what it is like to live with an unstable currency. Like a continual depression.
Economists understand why and thats all that matters

This would be the best thing to ever happen in our region. Nearly every small non western economy do not know how to manage their money properly (Im talking printing of and monetary policy) they need help. Or should many people continue to live in fear and on the brink of starving.

Would be better to use an established currency like the Aussie, it was different in Europe with such a big total economy where here we would make up over 80%.

IIRC, most (if not all) countries have their currency minted here.

I'm in agreeance of a common currency for the region, but to suggest that every other country uses the AUD is arrogant.

Its not arogant just smart economic policy. AUD has a reputation on international currency markets and we make up most of what would be the economy under the single currency.
The only way to go(AUD), a new currency would be stupid and irrisponsible.

A new currency like the Euro, stupid and irresponsible?

I like this idea a lot, would certainly make travel in Asia a lot easier...I can't see it getting far though unless we got Japan involved (the only other Pacific nation with any economic sense), the Aus$ is not necessary, a Pacific currency would be much easier...central bank somewhere in Singapore would be a safe option also.
