What's going on down at Punt Road?

Captain CottonWool wins the B & F cause he's sleepin with the 2 judges.....
Stevie Wonder & his seeing eye dog !!

Was our great leader.....the superhuman tagger Johnson even in the top 3 ?
Did he make All Australian in the newly created category of 'Tagger'.
Was he Best for his skill?.....his kicking?......his indecision?.....his going sideways?
He certainly was fair.....cause he couldn't hurt a fly.

having watched most of Richmonds games this year i can say that i thought Kane Johnson was consistently the best player for the team. Was rarely beaten and put in some of the best tagging displays i have seen. Cant believe some Richmond fans cant see how good he was for the team this year.

This is insane.
He's a great quality player and one of the most disciplined players in the afl.

People think he's no good because they don't see the work he does on the ground. It's the stuff that doesn't show up on replays or stat sheets. That's how good Kane Johnson is.

Don't just him on what HIS stats say, judge him on what his opponents stats DON'T say!

Harsh but fair!
Club Best & Fairests often go to the guy who does the right thing all the time not necessarily the bloke who looks flash to the crowd on the hill with a can in their hand.

It's obvious some haven't played much footy, the dependable guy sets the example out there and can help others focus on their job, moreso than the bloke who takes the mark or kicks the goal.

I would suggest that Kane's knockers haven't played in any senior premierships let alone two in the AFL!

Must we all appreciated Johnson?

Personally he is not the type of player I would have aspired to be but,I believe,won it because he simply can follow orders.

This is one thing that the kids can learn from this dud.

i am not a super bagger of Suga, have got time for him, but lets just say if he won the B&F for all the reasons suggested here by those that suggest them, well, looks like the chaff got dudded last year, when he also, apparently sacrificed his own game, to follow the exact orders, and did it with pretty much the same effectiveness as Suga did this year. ;)
 
I really did try hard to resist the temptation to comment but ferk it. Firstly let me say, my 2 pet hates here are the finals and off season when we aint playing and school holidays! Read into that what you must.

It seems the only thing that we all have absolutely no idea about is exactly who voted and why he won it as we have no idea about who was watching what, why and when. Most of you must have played footy at some level and recall sitting listening to the coach pre-match and at team meetings and training etc and thus having an understanding of who is excelling on the field and why. Trouble is, few if any if us know that stuff and that seems to be a hard thing to accept, understandably. Fact is we will rarely if ever know that behind closed doors stuff.

If it was about who got the most possessions or kicked the most goals or some stat that we could all assess...it would be easy eh?

Regardless of what we think of his on field ability I think his publicised comments show what it means to him and that I salute, i.e.
