Seeing he has apparently said he wants to return to WA, would we be intrested.......
I remember Connolly saying mid year that he would like to free Robbie up from Full back so he could create more off the half back line , Not sure about West Coast needing him, so if we were to chase him what would we give up ?

I think your selling him a little cheap. Worth quite a bit more than that. hopefully he is over his injuries and can move forward.

The backman have had it really tough at the Hawks this year. No midfield to stop the ball coming in.

I wouldn't mind him in the team and if he does come back regardless, we could get him cheaply. I wouldn't give any more than a second round pick and he'd have to take a fair salary cut. In the next few years Mundy will come up pretty well and after another preseason, he might be ready to go by next year.

To move forward next year we really have to address some tough issues. In my opinion at the moment Simmonds is not taking enough contested marks in the forward line to confirm his position there. I'm pretty happy with his kicking, but when longmuir moves into the ruck and pav is in the middle, there is a huge problem with simmo as the only tall in our forward line. This is also a tactical problem in that when we play a spare man in defense, Simmo is often double teamed, which makes his job pretty difficult.

If we did pick up Hay this would release McPharlin to play at FF. He is a great mark, quick on the lead and a pretty good kick for goal. Ideally I'd have Pav playing further up the ground as a CHF, with longmuir acting as a third tall in the forward line and interchanging in the ruck.

This would leave Hay, Hadrill, Polak, Thornton, Mundy etc in the backline.
With murphy and Campbell also offering potential as key forwards I would see our most tradable commodity as Simmo.

We also need to address our problems in the middle of the ground for next season. In the last few years we have picked up Schammer, who looks the goods and Dunn, who has been hampered by injury. We need a minimum of 2 stronger inside midfielders to add some grunt into the midfield. In my opinion we should attempt to lure any players fitting the bill to the club offering Simmo and a 1st round pick in a three way deal.

I like simmo in the team, but in reality, we're not going to get a decent player unless we offer something decent in return. As I see it at the moment, our midfield is weak if Bell and Haselby are covered. Therefore Simmo would be our most tradable commodity.

I think you guys really think about it.

If you get him cheap, it would be worth it, but Hay's form has not been too crash hot since the 3 years he won AA. He is an injury prone player and he may come good. I think Freo need to look at the situation before they give up any draft picks for him.

I dont see West Coast needing him.
