since we are looking for a kkp defender does anybody think we should take a chance with anthony jones from freo?

i think he could be good for us while we develop our younger guys (if he is cheap).

Why would we be lokking at trading picks or players for hacks from other teams. Barker and Jones offer us nothing. Even a third round pick of a young player is worth more of a punt. As we are one of the few lists who have a good young team and still have money available under the salary cap, we should be looking at better quality players than Barker or Jones.

I dont think we should take a chance on AJ he is far too injury prone. Although maybe a fresh new club for him could be just wot he needs to develop however i dont think hes what we need at WCE.

To say 'No' would be to ignore a great chance to say '**** no'.

If for some unaccountable reason our coaching staff feel the need for an injury ravaged, elderly full back unable keep up with modern day full forwards or deal with the physical demands of AFL footy, then lets just re-draft Ashley McIntosh.
At least he was good once

2 Anthony Jones still wouldn't solve our defence problems.

AJ in the WAFL made Trent Carroll look like a Buckley!

He was a great servant for Freo in their dark days.

But no, we shouldn't go near him. We'd be better off hanging onto Carroll for another year.
