With the additions of Scotland, Harford, Johnson, Clarke and probably Stevens where the hell does that leave little Jonny McCormick? He isnt rating much of a mention on proposed teams for 2004, but i think he should be a regular next year...
Had a sensational season and was really our only young bloke to have an influence in the middle by actually getting the ball instead of waiting for someone to pass it to him!
Dont forget Jonny, at least deserves a bench spot behind Scotland or Stevens?

don't pay too much attention to the proposed teams. I can't believe people have Whitnall at CHB. He's not a CHB, and he's not our answer in defense.

McCormick has been good in his first season. His disposal is the only real concern. But he has shown he can get the ball, which very few at Carlton have shown they can do. As long as he keeps improving, and is able to take the next step he will be a part of the Bules midfield plans in 2004.

He will need to be an in and under type, get the footy and give it to Stevens, Campo etc, with Hume and Kouta as this type it may not be too bad!

Time to give him a better number also... #3 perhaps? Havent seen much talent in that number since Richard Dennis...all i remeber about him is that he fell over a lot. Maybe Livingston could move down one

Hopper McCormick will still get a game in the ones, carlton recruited midfielders but no ball winners. Scotland, Clarke,McGrath, Johnson wont be working the packs for their kicks but on the outer. Hopper will be needed to dish it out, happy for him to be sent back to his rightful home if the Blues dont want him.

I think it will be between McCormick and Johnson for a bench spot. Hulme should be the no.1 rover. We cannot have both or even all three on the ground at the one time so here is the midfield setup;

Camporeale Scotland Stevens (Probably preseason draft pick2)
French Koutoufides Hulme
I/T: from Johnson, McCormick, Clarke, Harford, Tenace(probably no2 pick), Davies, Campbell, and Simpson.

Waite, Houlihan, Lappin and McGrath will also get run in the middle via the forward line.

Looks much better this year.

Yep I wouldn't mind him interchanging up foward into the midfield with someone like Houlihan or perhaps even Lappin.

Definelty deserves a spot.
