I am no JR lover but he individually got us back in the game in the 2nd Q. Super effort keep that up and you will keep your spot.

Was extremely, extremely solid today. Save that one shanked set shot for goal. Consistently imposed himself on the contest and his link work was outstanding.

One of his best games in the canary yellow.

I have been on his back a lot, mainly because of his disposal skills. But I have to admit he had a solid game. But thats what only his 4 or 5 good game for us in 5 years? Has a long way to go, but I give him credit for today.

I wanted him shot on sight after the dreadful first quarter (along with most of his teammates I might add) but fair's fair, the boy played well and did his bit for the team ...

He certainly is a 'confidence' player though, and I apologise to the MC and Ratten, bringing him in was the correct call ...

I wonder if getting dropped just took a bit of pressure off him, and got him thinking 'just go out there and try my best and not worry about making mistakes' ?

I only saw the second half, but he played solidly in what i saw (which, of course, included a missed shot at goal).

His physical attributes are his strength - i just hope his ball use and decision-making keep improving.

Great effort today, great to see he finally imposed himself on the game. His 2 qtr kept us in the game (along with 2 or 3 others at the time). And that goal he kicked was awesome

This guy has always had talent - he can kick, run and mark. The only thing stopping him is what goes on in his head. Be great to see him take it forward from here.

Still had a couple of "JR" moments but played a solid game.
A spell at the Ants probably did him the world of good.

Never would have backed him to kick the set shot from 50.

Was out catalyst today, great to see him take the responsibility onto his shoulders, and show his team mates (Judd included), how to attack the ball.

Have to agree with that. He really had a red hot go in the 2nd quarter & imposed himself on the game in a way that the players dropped this week have not been capable of doing in recent times. As you say, if he can keep this up he will be in our best 22 in the long term.

Got us back in the game along with Gibbs and Judd. Looks like a run in the two's has done him the world and good and hopefully Stevens and Scotland to an extent can follow suit...
