Hodge had far more poise and overall feel for the game from the start of his career. Like FredLeDeux I just can't see any similarity. A poor man's Bartel is about at close a description as I can think of. Good player, but lots of deficiencies.
There is also no comparison when it comes to disposal use. Hodge was, and still is, one of the best users in the game. Always had it from day one.
Caddy is a sloppy user. Of all our midfielders, he's ranked 2nd worst at 67% disposal efficiency for this season.
After Hodge's first six seasons in the AFL, he was running at 79% disposal efficiency and 3 clangers a game. After Caddy's first six seasons, he's running at 64% disposal efficiency and 2 clangers a game.
