Draft Profile Josh Green

Another Kid who I rate very highly and could go top 5 IMO, although there are a few this year who are super talents, completes the trio of highly talented Tasmanians available, Mav Weller and Luke Russell the others, and could be the best of the lot IMO.

This kid is a gun, he has elite pace and evasive abilities as well as the ability to break a tackle with strength, although this will improve as he develops. His inside work is Judd like in his ability to get the ball and break away from packs, reads the ruck taps well and often hits the ball at pace. His skills are good, but have improvement left in them but his decision making and vision appear sound. He racks up a lot of the ball and can be very damaging with his run and carry, he can also kick goals. He has a lot of improvement left and should go very high. Also was best on ground for Tassie in their first game, with 36 disposals and a couple of goals.

VEry quick and not shy of using his pace, agility and arrogance to break through people.

Good inside work and the pace to damage once outside packs. Disposal isn't poor, but could do with work, though his action suggests it will be just fine. He's my pick of the Tassie lot, and will most likely feature in the top 10.

Very exciting little player.

Saw Green on the weekend vs Qld. Granted it was only QLD who dont look great this year but Green absolutely smashed them. It was one of the most impressive displays I have seen. Was good both inside and out and skills were better than when I saw him last year (ie I didnt think they were great). Kicked a super goal from the boundary late which was important and he had a bit of pressure on him. I have been a massive wrap for Parker but this kid may go higher as has a bit more pace than Luke.

Ps keep an eye out for Darley and Brown who I hadnt seen before. v good.

Yeah right - Ben Brown from Devonport. Huge lump of a lad. Still got another year till he's eligible too - he played 16's last year.

well, i was hoping green would have a quiet carnival, or there would be some other bolters making green slide to our 2nd pick, wishful thinking yes, but one can only dream.
