The big question i am curious on is if u want to become a news reader when ur older, do u need to do journalism?
I have noticed through all news programs the newsreader are all journalists, why is this?

I'm sure all the other journalists with a tertiary education would just love someone with no qualifications to walk in off the street and read the results of their work on the 6 o'clock news.

It's the same reason you don't become an shuttle astronaut without being a pilot first.

Before you become a news reader you need to actually find the stories, write them up and if your good enough be able to present a short 30 second snippit to be included into the news segment.

These days Journalism covers more than just learning how to write an article - it covers media, communications, speaking and a whole other range of matters.
