I can't help with the joystick issue, but what's Far Cry like then? I'm tempted to get it, but I'm not sure. The graphics are supposed to be pretty good. What's the gameplay like?

Could never work out why someone would prefer a joystick over an optical mouse for serious FPS gaming. Get your self a Nostromo Speedpad for your left hand and a decent optical mouse for your right hand and you'll never touch a joystick again.

no offence but due to a stroke i have a weaker left side and my nostromo n45 works fine in serious sam

apparently far cry would of got 10 out of ten if it had gamepad/ joystick support

No offence taken, sorry to hear about your stroke.

Not a bad game all the same despite the lack of joystick support. Plenty of eye candy, but the FPS genre is starting to wear a bit thin.
