This is not a troll but I truely believe Judd should not become the captain of the Blues. Why?

  1. He hasn't played one game yet.
  2. He's been there for 4-5 months
  3. He has yet to really bond with the players
  4. If he becomes captain its basically saying no one else in the squad is good enough
Yes he may be the best player at Carlton and has a very impressive record but hey not all clubs have their best player as captain? The captancy is more about leadership than being BOG every week IMO.

EG

Geelong - Harely
Hawthorn in the 80's - Tuck
Essendon - Llyod
Eagles in the 90's - Worsfold

Once he has played a season or two then if he wants it and has earned it then good luck to all involved.

Look, in some aspects, you have a point, but with regards to the 'bolded' sentence, Judd IS a leader, he led the Weagles to a premiership. Juddy was born to lead...so I have to disagree with you there.

Anyways, Stevo will get the position and Juddy will be made VC with Simmo!

born to lead? he wasn't keen on being captain at west coast at all. it was more or less pushed on him, so how was he born to lead? and he alone is hardly responsible for WC winning the flag - they have a very good team full of champions that together won a flag

With that sentence, i was simply referring to his personality and how you get this sence that he was 'born to lead'. When you listen to Juddy speak, he seems to be quite an itelligent guy who inspires people. These are qualities of a natural leader.

Couldnt agree more.

Judd is a great player but not a leader. Cuz after he was sacked as captain still was the one who spoke to the players not Judd. Judd is a robot - you will see.

But for example - Watch his reaction when he lifts the cup in the 2006 premiership win. A smirk is all he can muster.

So? He doesn't show his emotions. A lot of people are like that.
What is your point?
Maybe Cousins ecstatic show was, ummmm, 'assisted'.

cmon now Bee, you would be hard pressed to say that cuz was on the gear the time of playing in the GF...a user yes, but do you think he would do a line before the bounce? He was just ecstatic about winning a GF, he has been so close many times.

Not all leaders choose to lead!! But people follow them cause they back their talk with actions.

"Some men are born great, some have greatness thrust upon them".

Some are both....
