Judd Incident(s)

Channel 10 Just highlighted 2 incidentsinvolving Judd from todays game, both of which had Judd elbowing Baker in the head.

May be in trouble for the next couple of weeks, which has obvious implications for the Brownlow....

I suspect they'll use Hamill as a benchmark. Hamill did it a few weeks ago and surprisingly got let off.

I hope he gets off - I think we had our bit of luck last week with Hunter. If he only gets a week we should be OK. But he has to play the week after against Port who are our bogey side. I hope he gets off not because of the Brownlow but just to keep a good side together and firing.
it is a little annoying that he does these little niggly things now and again. i dont know why he didnt just run away from Baker at the stoppages. Just run out to a wing by himself. Oh well good luck this week Juddy I think you will need it.

Didnt actually see the incident at the game today but when i got home i saw it on TV and i can say it doesnt look good fellas

Clearly an elbow to the face nowhere enar play... Will be 1 or 2 weeks but i think if he does get 2 then we can appeal and get it reduced to 1 week

Undoubtedly he shouldn't have done it but I didn't think there was much in it. As BB said its not much different to the Hamill case in rd 1 and he got let off.

the second one was definately the worse of the two.. but luckily the footage looks like judd made contact, but not that badly... i think he'll get off.. call it a hunch, but i think the AFL has too much at stake brownlow wise to let judd be cancelled out this early in the game.

Unfortunately, Jod is not running the tribunal. Neither am I for that matter, but i'd bet my bollocks he'll get 2 weeks.

Even if he does - It won`t affect the outcome next weekend.

The sunday time quotes Baker saying that there was nothing in it, he got hit in the neck and also that he was playing for a free kick. And with the fact that the emergency umpire was 5 metres away, i find it hard to see the tribunal making anyhting out of this. It just looks like judd is shrugging him off to get away.

He wasn't looking at Baker when he did it, which has to count for something. I doubt he'll get anything for it at all.

Yeah Baker was quoted saying all sorts. Like it was only in the neck not in the face, he was playing for the free kick and the reported head injury he got during the game which forced him from the field happened earlier in the game before the Judd incident.

Also in todays paper there is an article about Baker's tactics in the game and Judd's reaction. I dont even think he will be reported to be honest.

Who knows what the AFL are thinking half the time..........there's no certainties coming from the AFL. In my opinion he is looking at 2 weeks minimum because contact with the head is normally considered sacro-sanct.

But like I said, who knows what the AFL are thinking.

Won't stuff us up at all mate.......He only had 7 possessions in the saints game so he was a non-factor. And the Eagles have plenty of players to cover for him.

Baker is definately covering for Judd. I didn't see any other incident where Baker got a heavy hit to the head. Maybe the guy does have a soul after all.

Judd only got 7 possies on Saturday and we still came away with the points. Judd is only one of our team; you still have the likes of Fletcher, Braun (if fit), Cousins, Kerr, Stenglein, Sampi, Embley etc to contend with.
