Three players nominated for MVP

Carlton players Chris Judd, Marc Murphy and Kade Simpson are in the running to take out the AFLPA’s prestigious Most Valuable Player award.

Nominated by their peers, the highly anticipated award recognises qualities such as versatility, ability to play under pressure, skill, leadership, courage, respect for all players and overall value to a team.

Three players nominated for MVP

Bias aside, I don't think anyone from that list of First Years has been better than Duigan.

Best captain I'd go with Ablett.

MVP is a three-horse race I reckon: Judd, Pendlebury, Ablett.

Heppell has been a better performer in his 1st year the Duigan for mine.

Agree with you RE Ablett, but I think Juddy will get the nod.

MVP top 3 Judd, Murphy and Ablett.

I think Sam Mitchell will win the MVP, with best Captain going to Judd (played all 22 and had impact in most, whereas Ablett missed a handful) . Heppel best first year and most courageous will go to Jonathan Brown.

I think Jordie McKenzie will win MVP. Tendai Mzungu has the coolest name so will win best first year player, Campbell Brown has to be the most courageous while Brad Green is by far the best captain.

Seriously, why does every club have to have three nominations for the MVP? It cheapens the vote.

Heppell just won the NRS.

HARD to believe it all came down to rumours about a dodgy groin scan.

Dyson Heppell had no idea where the whispers came from, but they were enough to scare other clubs off him at the 11th hour before last year's draft.

The Bombers knew his groin was fine because his doctor, John Reid, also was Essendon's doctor.

Another reason to loathe the scum? Surely not.
