Carlton assistant coach Gavin Crosisca has affirmed that skipper Chris Judd remains on track to make his debut for the club against the Western Bulldogs at Princes Park in the final week of the practice match series on Friday week.
"He's endeavouring to play a half next week and then depending on what happens in the week off he might have an extra run that week and then hopefully be right for Round 1," said Crosisca ahead of training at Princes Park on Wednesday.

Haha. Imagine Judd in the Ants. That would make fun viewing.

I always have to laugh at coke noobs that call Judd Judas, they conveniently forget to mention Tyson Stenglien in the same vain.
Kyuss is a Richmond fan and trolling by using Kennedy as his avatar.

e probably believes Brown, Johnson, Simmonds, Polak, McMahon and Morton aren't mercenaries because they offered their services to every Victorian club in trade week. Yet Judd is criticised by all and sundry for not doing the WCE any favours by stating he only wanted to go to four clubs. Funny how no one has criticised the Johnstone, McMahon, Wood, Schneider, Dempster, Hudson and Morton trades. The trading of Schneider and Dempster for just pick 26 is more questionable when it is below their market value.

McMahon went for 19 on his own.

Saints lodged their TPP late in a simple accounting error because they're not cheats.

It had nothing to do with St Kilda struggling to fit Schneider, King, Dempster, Gehrig and Charlie Gardiner in a salary cap that increased by just 8%.

Equalisation works.
judd is still injured and is only going to play barely half a game this week... heard it from an Carlton insider, who works as one of the coaches
Trained today and will play according to Ten News who aired of footage of Judd moving very well for an injured player.

Carlton has confirmed star recruit Chris Judd will play his first AFL match for the club this week.

The Blues managed to lure the former Eagles captain east after he indicated he wanted to return to Melbourne.

The Brownlow medallist had groin surgery during the off-season.
Carlton coach Brett Ratten says Judd should play most of Friday's practice match against the Western Bulldogs.

"It's just depending how hot it gets and the conditions," he said.
"If he looks like he's fatiguing we might take him off, but it will just be the normal set rotations with the midfielders and he'll just be a part of that.

"Probably around three-quarter time he might come off and that will do it for the day."

Saw Jordan McMahon running around the supermarket last week like a little girl - just like he is on the field! Childish would be a good description of his behaviour.

But, credit where credit is due, his woman was pretty hot. Didn't even notice it was McMahon for a while I was that distracted.

Wooo - less than 48 hours til Juddy plays!

Richmond werent willing to give up cotchin

http://www.theage.com.au/news/Sport/Tigers-query-West-Coasts-Judd-deal/2007/10/15/1192300653679.html

Richmond director of football Greg Miller said the Tigers had made what he believed was a superior offer, only for the Eagles to take the Blues' deal.

Miller said the Tigers had made a serious tilt at getting the man rated the best player in the competition, offering the Eagles picks two and 18 plus one other draft choice or player for Judd.

and 1.6 mill a year

From the same article:

Miller said the Tigers would have had room in the salary cap to afford Judd's wage demands.

The real reason Judd didn't go to Richmond:

Judd was adamant he wanted to join Carlton ahead of any other Melbourne club

My favourite part of the whole saga was acutally the lengths that Richmond went to to try and secure Judd, and even more so, the lengths that Judd went to to ensure that he didn't end up at that rabble of a club:

http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/news/judd-price-tag-to-scare-tigers/2007/10/09/1191695909394.html

Judd's management is believed to have cautioned the Tigers against striking a "Veale deal" with the Eagles that would force Judd to Richmond via the pre-season draft against his wishes.

The extreme scenario that led the Judd camp to caution Richmond was the prospect that West Coast — unhappy with Carlton's offer and the lack of alternative bids for Judd — would deal exclusively with Richmond, and give up pick two, 18 and perhaps 19, and in return would let Judd go into the pre-season draft...

Aware of this possibility, Carlton and Judd's manager Paul Connors determined that Judd could be priced beyond Richmond's reach, with Connors contacting Richmond football director Greg Miller to let him know that an unprecedented price would be placed on Judd's head in the event that he was forced into the pre-season draft.

Miller is believed to have responded that no price would frighten the Tigers, but last night he said: "We have reasonable room in the salary cap. I'm not sure I have $2 million, but we have reasonable room."

Richmond is believed to have had discussions with West Coast about scenarios that could involve the pre-season draft.

So there you have it, not only was Richmond prepared to give up more in terms of draft picks and players than Carlton were, but they were also prepared to pay Judd a much higher salary than Carlton (or any other club for that matter) were.

The fact however remains, that Judd would stop at nothing to ensure that he ended up at Carlton and not Richmond.

15 clubs know judd went to carlton for money
and obviously some of your kids (gibbs) when they grow up and (Hopefully)
develop some skills will go home because judd is on way to much !

or maybe he just loved carlton so much
and he saw how great you guys are
and honest. honesty is important to juddas

LOL, oh my!!! I love how you state this like it was an option, when Judd didn't even nominate or speak to your rabble of an organisation as he knew this would be a backwards step in his career.... Despite that Miller bumbled along making some sort of empty offer to the Eagles who knew they would get squat if they didn't deal with carlton......Miller just saved his arse with that one :thumbsu:

What a nice problem to have, fitting Gibbs, Judd, Kreuzer and Murphy into the salary cap....hope you also manage to hang onto Tambling, Rance, Cotchin and Putt, LOL

Good luck to Juddy! Hope he goes ok and is over his groin injury. I have missed seeing him break tackles and accelerate away from packs.

Game, Set & Match.....bye bye Kyusss...back to Craigieburn for you

Hey brainiac...why would an injured Judd be playing??

Tell you grandfather, who has no teeth that he doesn't work for Carlton and he should stick to reading the weekend employment section for a new job for Solarium and Mrs Miller...he only has 8 weeks left!!

Good researching guys, that'll show them.

I think all Carlton fans owe it to themselves to fight back at this stupid idea that Judd went to Carlton for money. There was always something more to it.

Some WCE fans say that he left WCE for money, but we know he wanted to go home, and getting more money at WHICHEVER CLUB HE WENT TO was a nice side effect. But Melbourne, Richmond, Carlton and quite frankly Collingwood must have, did have, big money on the table to get him. The differences were what....$50,000? $100,000?

Judd chose us as is his destiny to lead us to #17!

Judd had meetings with the with four teams he was interested in playing for: Carlton, Collingwood, Melbourne and Essendon.

Hawthorn tried to call more than once to tee up a meeting but were told that Judd was not interseted in meeting them.

Richmond didn't even bother calling Judd's management (they knew the answer would be no) so they instead approached West Coast directly to try and orchestrate a 'Veale deal'. Judd's management and Carlton knew this would happen and took the necessary precautions to ensure this scenario would not play out for Richmond and West Coast.

The result, Judd got to the club he wanted to go to. Collingwood narrowly missed out and understandably felt the twinge of coming oh so close to getting Judd but moved on, as did Essendon, Melbourne and Hawthorn.

Richmond are a little slow and haven't quite figured out yet that they've missed out on him and no amount of sulking or mud-throwing at Carlton and/or Judd will bring Judd any closer to wearing yellow and black.

Sad really.

What's funny about the whole Judd scenario is Hawthorn.

"Oh Judd will wanna play with us, because of our young and exciting list - and we're a firm top 4 competitor - if anyone can get it done, it's the master of list management Chris Pelchen"

So Pelchen sets off to work, with this documented phone call:

Judd: "Hello?"
Pelchen: "Hey mate, Chris Pelchen here, how are ya?"
*beep beep beep beeep* (Judd hangs up the phone)

Judd: "Hello?"
Pelchen: "Hey mate, Chris Pelchen here, how are ya?"
Judd: Bwahahahahahaah.........oh you've got to be kidding......................really.....who is this......is that you Coxy?........Classic. *beep beep beep beeep* (Judd hangs up the phone)
Edit. :D:thumbsu:
