if the eagle's don't rest Judd this week - i say we get Kane and Connors to rough him up big time, and get foley to match up on him and run him round - for no other reason that i think he is struggling with injury and if we can exploit that - we are a better chance of winning.

lets put some doubts into woosha's head as to if its in the eagles best interest to play Judd against a side with nothing to get, but respect

also give the victorian teams a better chance on winning the cup back!

Judds last few matches he has been playing on and off the bench really struggling, also resting up fwd. I dont really think he will be the key in the game the boys we will need to be accountable for will be Kerr, Cousins, Hansen, Staker.

he may not be the key - but if you target him, it could unsettle the others - and the hot heads like cousins, kerr and co may let their anger get the better of them and go off their games to try and protect him,

if they are gonna put a 50% judd out to play three weeks before finals - then we should make them regret it

I think we should aim to unsettle all three, judd, kerr and cousins. they'll all be going into this game full of confidence at facing a one man midfield, we need to rattle them abit and put some doubt in their minds. jackson, king and connors though all significantly smaller players can atleast dish out some unnerving shit. it'll be an interesting game.

Eagles don't mind the rough stuff. You don't win hard fought Premierships with a bunch of marshmellows.

It's the behind the ball stuff which has ruffled them in the past. It's happened once this season and I can't see the Eagles getting sucked in again.

Welcome to try it, but I think that they will be playing the ball at all costs :)

don't argue that for a second - personally, i would just target judd - and make the coach have to make a decision of -do you keep him on and risk injury - or get him and off and compromise your best team against a weak side.

if we target all of them, we will get flogged i reckon - if we target their wounded star - THEY will target us - and perhaps drop off their game.:thumbsu:

agreed.

He'd just get free kick after free kick, kick a lazy 4-5 when he could be just played tight like the last few weeks and get an ineffective 12-15 possies!

We are no way going to be able to ruff up WC. Lets gets serious here. Our kids will be far better off one on one trying to match it and the emphasis should be on learning. Hopefully playing a fast running game we can get a good idea on where we are at.

Trying to pound WC into submission has been tried week in week out and players like Kerr just stand up, and without any emotion, run off and get another possession. Pointless. We will be made to look like a 2nd rate team going nowhere, rather than a 2nd rate team with at least a glimmer talent to build on.

Rather confident after last weeks win are we???

Feel we can start throwing some weight around?? Yeah Edwards and Jack should be able to really impose themselves with some big hard hits early:rolleyes:

Judd will play deep forward so any attack on the body in or behind play will cost you a shot on goal...fine with us.

What Victorian team would in their right mind play dirty on Judd when there is at least a 50 / 50 chance he will move east and want to play for a Victorian club.

Think about it.

Plan A

Lets bash Judd...."yeh"....might win a game...."yeh great"....lose a priority pick as well....."yee harr thats sounds great".....and really leave Judd with a piss poor impression of our club......"wow now we're really talking"......and if he comes back to Melbourne he won't even consider us......"hell yep that sounds like a great plan".

Plan B

Lets play hard fair attacking footy and run the pants off the eagles and leave them astounded of being beaten at home. Judd will be so impressed that if he comes east he would seriously consider the Tigers because of the great game we played and our bright future.

Which plan sounds the most positive to you drongo's.

With Cousins out now, makes it interesting. Half fit Judd, no Cousins, and a couple of young blokes going through the midfield gives us a good chance at centre breaks, where we smashed Collingwood last week.

by unsettle their players I don't mean I'm expecting king to pick cousins up by the throat and choke slam him, i mean we need to make these guys remember they have opponents this week, close checking tough footy with a bit of aggro is all I ask. not just directed at judd, but at their whole midfield brigade.

thats exactly what i mean with the judd thing also - and perhaps a few "worthwhile" free kicks on him in the right parts and times of the game (i.e run through him BEFORE when he is going to take the mark anyway - that sort of stuff)

this rubbish as if we shouldn't target him because he will 50/50 play for a melbourne team next year is laughable. as if we give a toss about that?? he won't come to us, and chance's are he won't go anywhere.

if he plays forward, put kingy or newman on him, and run up the ground on him - make him chase - then have polak zone onto him and hit him hard at every aerial contest - do everything possible to break him down or get whoosha more worried about his star player than our other moves we are going to do to try win the match.

time for some of our boys to act like men - west coast have been bullying weaker, smaller sides for the past few years - lets hit them hard when they are perhaps hurt - and with finals in their minds - no one can tell me that their players are not going into this game thinking "we'll try get past richmond without destroying ourselves, and warm ourselves into the finals".

i'll take a loss, even a mid sized one - as long as out players like connors, king, newman, pattison, richo, polak, mcguane, Johnson, Reiwoldt, jackson, tuck can make a physical impression on them:thumbsu:

no cousins, no chick & a wounded Judd - HIT EM HARD TIGS!!:thumbsu::mad:
