Dont we usually have to wear our clash jumper against Port when it is their home game? I recall Swan saying we would never wear our Clash Jumper again after the Melbourne match. Wha happens if we are required to and we dont. Hmmmm

We get fined roughly $5k for each player not in correct uniform...........so roughly $100k fine.

Swanny was talking it up, but we won't do it. We can't afford to just throw away hundreds of thousand's of dollars like that.

Having said that, we should make some demands.

We don't really clash with anyone, especially the Saints, Freo or the Dees.

Clash jumpers are all about selling product and nothing about the visual spectacle......which for mine has been damaged.

Anyone cop the Dees jumper on the weekend...........stank it up big time.:thumbsd:

Here's hoping that we can somehow get out of wearing that monstrosity of a jumper at the weekend - although if it means we'd get a fine from the AFL, then I suppose we would have to wear it.

And I agree with you BB, the Melbourne jumper is a shocker.

We'll wear it and put the $100k towards a CHF (priorities people!). The jumper's OK IMNSHO, just our performances in it stink. Sadly I'm not expecting it to get any better this weekend.

Completely ridiculous having to wear them this weekend. I like the white strip (I mean, it could've been far worse), but there is clearly no jumper clash with Port. The AFL is run by monkeys when it comes to jumpers.

We should have thought of that before recruiting Ackland.

clash jumpers are just pathetic
we have gone 147 or 148 odd years without having to wear a clash gurnsey
why start now? are ppl getting blinder? are ppl becomign babies and cant see what colour is what?
pathetic any team has to wear them, ESPECIALLY CARLTON WEARING THE BLOODY WHITE
WE ARE NOT THE NAVY WHITE'S

No he said it after the St Kilda game then we wore it against Melbourne. caved in.

actually this is incorrect.

Swan said that we had to wear it the Melbourne game, but would be the last time we wear it this year.

In saying this, if we wear it on sunday then he has caved in.

What a joke this has become, how simple football use to be.

We should have thought of that before recruiting Ackland.

That actually served a purpose.

By paying Ackland over the odds it absorbs some of the Salary cap, hence not making it available to others during the time he is contracted..........keeping a lid on their wage demands.

Now that we have a number of "guns" our of contract, we can free up the $300k and spread it around to Murph, Waite, Fisher etc......and keep them happy.

Ackland was a financial tool mistaken for a footballer.:thumbsu:

Take a look at the poor bloke's player pic. He looks to have been in the gun from day 1.
