We have just decided to buy a set, but would love to use someone else other than Hugh Lyon

Waz, for as long as i was on the committee down there mate they were always delivered (sorry - we always picked them up) late friday afternoon before the first game. doesnt seem to mater how much time you give them.

How many times do we hear of clubs setting up their jumper presentations, organising quality guest speakers, inviting important sponsors and new recruits; only to have half their jumpers not ready.
The embarrassment of those organising is never eased by the fact it is not their fault.

More pressure needs to be put on the VAFA to remove this poorly run monopoly.
Can we have some transparency from the VAFA as to the actual contract they have with Hugh Lyon?

Given the ineptitude of delivery, one can only surmise that their is some sort of family connection with the VAFA & that the 'kickbacks' are benefiting someone's family trust?????????????

Hugh Lyon are useless & always have been.

At any rate, it seems they cant keep up with demand at the most crucial time of the season and the league needs to address the issue. It's a pain every season, especially for the lower grade clubs with higher player turnover and less sponsorship.

The season started 2 weeks late and this mob still couldn't get the jumpers on time something needs to be done. All the clubs do their very best to be professional and organized especially on game day and then we can't even get jumpers on time!!

I would suggest a combined letter from clubs who have had issues with these guys in the past to be sent to them, cc the VAFA in and request explainations as to why the delays etc.

Then one to the VAFA demanding we be allowed to garner our own suppliers due to the above poor service and to give us the ability to obtain them at lower rates. (Clubs could also package in their Polo shirts, jackets etc etc)

dropped off 40 jumpers for new sponsor logos at the start of the week
Hugh Lyon.... "no worries, pick them up Friday"
Yesterday....." they will be ready at 3.00pm"
Today.... "call back at 6.00pm and we will see if we will get them finished"

Mordialloc is an hours drive at least on a Friday afternoon

Looks like we will be playing in skins tomorrow
