How do those promotional jumpers work. We had the yellow one last year against Fremantle also the light blue M and M jumper I think against Adelaide maybe 2002 / 2003? When will the next one be or are they just depending on whatever is going on?

Anyone buy any of them? must have set you back a bit if you did, interested to know!

Cheers

ROUND 3, 1997!

Mick McGuane's last game...

Andrew Balkwill's first and last....

Camporeale's 50th!

I dont think there's any rhyme or reason; just $ in the case of M&M and a cross-promotion for the livestrong game last year against the Dockers.

Yellow was better than light blue, which begs the question why Hawthorn still look horrible in yellow after all of these years.

And Rhino's, which he took all of 10 seasons to reach!

So true - great clubman apparently but. Hey Blueseum Bloke, how many games did Luke play in the reserves do we know? :)

Dear My.Thylacine,

In response to your official summons, I note the following (please note our reserves records up to the mid 1970's aren't that good as yet):

- O'Sullivan played 117 reserves games, and kicked 100 reserves goals
- he is second only to Scott Howell for reserves games, who played 125 of them.
- Shane Robertson also cracked the ton of reserves games
- Mark Williams, Greg Sharp, Adam White and Whitnall senior all played 90 or so.

It was indeed Round 3, 1997 and milestones were aplenty on the day - Balkwill's one and only game, Rhino / campo's 50th (compare the time tto which they both managed their 50's), Nelson's debut, McGuane's last....

Williams was put out suspended for this match as well, despite being reported in Round 1....

Brilliant, as always. I remain humbly yours, Mr Thylacine (wtf?) :thumbsu::)

And Rhino's, which he took all of 10 seasons to reach!

I remember the monday after the 95 GF and my dad and I headed to naughtons pub around 3 in the afternoon. The whole club were standing out the front of the pub having a few drinks still celebrating no16.

There was probably 150 people out the front and then Rhino grabs a megaphone and stands on a chair cracking jokes for about an hour. Any reasonably hot girl walking past copped the full barrage.

I was only 16 at the time and thought it was the funniest thing in the world.

Good times.

I wish the AFL followed in the footsteps of the NBA and release retro jumpers and alternate strips for fans to buy. I wouldnt want them to be worn in the regular season to preserve tradition but we could wear them in the pre-season and during training sessions and intraclub games. Would be great for the fans and would bring in a lot of money from merchandise sales.
