Utter, UTTER garbage.

He's yet to get to the point where we can say we've seen the best he can produce, and one thing he did demonstrate last year is that he can now take an excellent contested grab.

He was one of the better centre-half forwards last year for a few rounds in succession until Fev mistook him for Ted Richards.

He may well hold down CHF in 2010.

I honestly don't know what some supporters watch when they go to the footy.

I have to say he did have a injury season/pre season and when you have them you basically stuffed and can't be consistent. I say if he has a free injury year and if he still struggles he will be on the list of delisting as he is 27 but he won't be the only one. A free injury season will get the best of him.We just have to see if its good or not, time will tell. His got the body size only if we could get Frankenstein to operate on him and Fisher plus a touch of Wiggins,we could get something there. We could even leave the 3 heads on one body so each player gets a credit, lol.

I'm supportive of the vast majority of our list, especially the young players. Except seeing names like Wiggins and O'hAilpin on there really kills me, and what's worse is when people think they have potential or want them to temporarily fill a void. They are the 'utter garbage' in terms of ability and promise; I am aware that their attitudes are great. I don't see why you wouldn't want to play a Henderson or a ROK before them for they are the players to lead us into premiership contention, not these over mid-aged players that opposition supporters chuckle at when they see we have people of their ilk.

I have always liked him, I think this year he showed his true worth in a few of the games where he was getting better each week before he got injured with the knee to the back.

A few things I think people should consider when talking about his are

1 The patch of games this year, his attitude and his improvement before his injury.
2 The severity of his injury and that he was still attempting to play.
3 I also read an article about his earlier this year and a condition he had with his legs where they would tire out at rapid speed. This turned out to be a physical issue however alot of people were throwing the towel in with him and saying its all in his head, mentally weak etc.

Before you go posting dissing him, Imagine how you would feel if you were an elite athlete, at an elite level of fitness, could swim sprints for an hour, but running sprints your legs would tire rapidly... You know your fit and strong but you don't know what is causing your legs to burn out so quickly? Would you give up? Or keep fighting on because you have the heart and desire to do so?

I hope Carlos has a great pre season and season and can show some of the haters just why the Carlton team has held onto him for so long!

GO THE BLUES!
AND GO CARLOS!

I'll go on record as saying this even though I didn't put it on my prediction thread response -- someone quote me for this.

Setanta O'hAilpin will be the most improved player in the AFL next season. What I don't mean is someone who had limited opportunities in the AFL last year (e.g. Lachlan Henderson) but from the players who were more than a regular part of their team last year, the single most improved player.

I'm not expecting 50 goals or whatever, though it wouldn't out and out shock me. What I'm saying is that people will be questioning "Where has this come from?" in regards to his play next year. He'll contribute to the team's success mightily.

Big statement there and I hope you;re right, I for one love Sentanta, and reckon we haven;t seen the best of him...saw a flash of it last year for a handful of games, it wouldn;t surprise me either if he has a blinder of a season.

He sure polarises fans tho' :footy:
