After pocketing the purse, Murphy waited in line before making a transaction with a teller, the documents show.

He then took $300 in cash and dumped the purse in a bin.

They should put cameras in banks to catch who people pocket a purse, then go to the teller to make a withdrawal.

It's almost as funny as the terrorist who was caught because he tried to get back his deposit on the rental van they used as a car bomb.

Justin Muprhy meh ... Anyone hear the story of Matthew Scarlett snotting him one after he turned up to Geelong's Mad Monday (this was after that infamous incident at Optus Oval where Milburne knocked out Silvangi)

Dear god, he made a pretty good wicket playing AFL footy for several years, what the hell did he squander his money on to resort to stealing 300 dollars from a woman ...

The only excuse I can think of is that Murphy apparently had an pretty 'rough' childhood and didn't probably have positive role models around him growing up. I pity him more then anything else.

Rough childhood? Had the chance to prosper but didnt make the most of his time both at school and with his football. Dont put a rough childhood down to anything. He was given a chance which 99% of us dont get, was given guidance, lots of it by many great mentors, but chose to ignore it. Responsible for his own actions

Who's the twat. After playing at Richmond, Carlton, Geelong and Carlton again, Murphy was picked up by the Master Twat Sheedy.

I think this says more about Sheedy's poor judgement than anything else. Lets hope that Sheedy has lost his touch - ya dh.

Scum!! What a dog of an act, although, that's probably an insult to dogs.

Met him at a supporters xmas party at The Ivy years ago. He was a stuck up tool. Tried talking to him, he was just dismissive & rude as. His only redeeming feature is the wonderful footage holding the ball aloft after the 99 Prelim.

FWIW, another of our boys who went to Essendon, Matty Allan, was a top bloke that night, had a lot of laughs with him.

I'm very disappointed I was a big fan of Murph and loved that footage of him hanging onto the ball after the 99 prelim and him looking disgusted after the Milburn deed.

$300 is a lot of money for a battler. There must be something odd with some guy playing AFL for a decade and not have a bit of a cash flow. I find it hard to believe anyone would blow it all on booze,drugs and Women. The only other would be people tight with their money.
This is more bad news to our club makes us look like we one bunch of selfish greedy people from other club fans looking in. I know he played for the other clubs also but he made a name in Carlton.

The rough' childhood is a excuse mate when you not blessed with money and you finally get it you appreciate it. The other thing when you abuse and you get respect you appreciate it. The guy sounds like a dog to me if he took it just because it was there to take.
