I wish this wasnt so, but this is how I still see Justin Murphy:

The bloke sticking it up the Bombers at the end of 1999 PF.

Yes, he's now wearing red and black - and is playing for the team. But for the first time ever, it looks like Robert Walls was right...

...and remember his days at Geelong when he would get stuck into his own team at defence of Carlton. He belongs at the bluebaggers - they deserve each other.

Heartless, gutless, spineless, skill-less, hard ball get-less, brainless, effective kick-less.

Send him to Bendigo and get him a place there, he'll be there for a while.

Hit the nail right on the head.

Definitely needs a couple of weeks in the 2's. Maybe even stick him in the reserves with Cupidoll.

Is struggling badly.

Simply does not put in the effort.

Why the hell did he pass off that ball last night when he was basically standing on the 50m line?!?! Murph is reknown for his big kicking ability, what the hell is he doing feeding it off to someone else for?

Pea heart, carlton are laughing their a$$ off seeing him in an Essendon jumper. Like Matty Allan another band aid player.

He certainly wouldn't be any sort of an asset at Carlton. He was good at one stage but just isn't really up to AFL standard and just isn't a game breaker.

Not true. Why do you think we got rid of him? There were a few Bomber supporters who had a bit of a laugh at us over trading him too IIRC. Then there were threads raving about how good he was going for the Bombers.

The Blues and their supporters can now feel vindicated by their stance. There is something not quite right about Murphy. He plays disinterested frontrunning football and his attitude spreads like a virus through the team. Then when it looks like he will be out on his arse, he pulls a great game from his kit bag and saves his bacon for another couple of months of frustrating form.

He was good for the Blues in his first stint but had plenty of good players around him. We traded him for cap reasons I believe but he went okay at the Cats too finishing in their top 3 for the B&F that year. We got him back again and he has been rubbish ever since.

Not a team player at all.
