The forgotten man of the Eagles, Kane Munro has had a good pre-season and was BOG for the Swans in Round 1 of the WAFL. If Merenda is still out injured and Fido gets a holiday, should we go with Sampi or Munro (who has been playing in the forward pocket/half forward flank)?

I didnt even know Munro played up forward....if Fido goes though i think the obvious choice to bring back would be Merenda. Sampi would also get a gig i would think before Munro.

With doubt over Phil Matera's future, i'd go for Sampi

I saw Munro play a couple of times last year and to be honest he needs to put on a fair amount of weight before he can take on a HF role

Unfortunately, I dont think Kane Munro is going to make it at the Eagles. He has plenty of ability but is too lightly framed for the type of role he plays. But you could say that about Lappin from Carlton. But Lappin is taller.

I think he will be like Ben Robbins (Remember him) who went from Brisbane to now Kangaroos. He is starting to look a bit bigger and looking to make an impact.

Can Munro play back pocket? There's a spot available if he can.

I've seen him a few times and he does some good things, but would have to be behind Sampi, Merenda and Matera for the small forward positions.
