We are kind of lucky, being overseas Freo supporter. We feel the same disappointments, but at least we don't have to live with the Eagles bandwagon supporter that suddenly came out of the woodwork being smug and such....

The only positive out of the Norf game I can get is that our best is very good. Good enough to beat any team, even Hawthorne. We just can't seem to string together 4 quarters of it the entire season.

Still, it's the club's most successful H/A season to date. I'll agree with you and just sit back and enjoy the ride. If we crash out, well, so be it.
However it's not beyond the realm of impossibility that

a) Fyfe turned superhuman again
b) Pav struck form and out wrestle/run any KPD
c) the shoulder recon fixed Ballas' balance problems, and he is suddenly in AA form again
d) Mayne stopped trying to kick goals and kick goals
e) Taberner suddenly learn how to take a mark
f) somebody sneak into RTB office at night, struck out DeBoer's name and replace it with Weller
g) some coach finally lost it and gave D.Pearce a hard kick up his a..., it actually straighten out something and he can finally kick straight

I'll say if just 4 out of the 7 come true in 2 weeks time we'll win the flag come September, easy

I think D.Pearce is playing with a broken toe. It's why he winced so much when he stunned the ground. I'm not surprised it's effecting his kicking. In saying he delivered a beautiful pass against the kangas.

I've had to block so many people for continuing to ruin my weekends - the same supporters who wont go to a game because it's raining, but can come in here and throw bricks at anybody who doesn't want to give in just yet.

There are some Freo posters that have turned up on here this season that I swear you could probably count on one hand the amount of times that they have said something positive about the club. A couple of the also seem to talk about the Eagles a lot..

Our best is good enough and we have a coach who is as good as any. I am not sure what RTB's record is in finals but I would expect it to be very good.

We are in pole position with a top two finish. Win two home finals and it's off to the GF. It's not a given that we will win those two games but our chances must be much higher than if we had to play them in Melbourne or Sydney

The football gods can be cruel or kind in equal measure but we have very little control over that. I hope they smile on us in the 2015 finals.

There is no reason to believe we are not right in the premiership race.

As for all this... Nah. We're cooked. I want to be proven wrong, it'd be the greatest time I've been proven wrong, but we are honestly cooked.

And before the nuffies come and say "duh fhgf b loyal!!!!! not a real fan!!!" well I'll continue to support this side 'til I die, I'll never stop giving up time to watch these shit pricks play, but the reality is... Fremantle are a bunch of shit pricks.

Season over for me, really can't see us doing much damage come finals. Has anyone really thought we were deserved top of the ladder this year?

I'm with ya Gill. Have intentionally been waiting a good 3-4 days before I posted after the match to avoid the atomic warfare.

We're not in a great place, but at least we hit a peak this season hitherto unheard of in this club's history - and with that knowledge it's comforting to know that we could find our way back at the time when our need is at its most dire. This is unlike last year when we had no peak form, and even in 2013 when our form culminated in the final series.

This year we know what needs to be done... because we did it for 8 games straight. And we'll do it again.
