Wonder when he is no longer the coach if the club will keep him in an off field roll. Talented enough to even be a CEO I reckon. Incredibly well respected. Way back when he applied for the St Kilda job, Pridham told him that they wanted him to stay on and mentioned club management to him as well as coaching.

When he’s finally removed kicking and screaming he should step away from the club and give his replacement some fresh air to work

Horse has shown you can’t go back and change the beginning but you can start where you are and try and change the ending.

Bit harsh. He knocked over the Hawks in 2012 and they had Franklin, Hodge, Rioli, Burgoyne, Mitchell, Roughead, Lewis etc. That's as good as it gets.

Voices of dissent are always the loudest.

99% of Horse discourse on here is just people bagging Horse and then people defending him from those bagging him. Very few really go out of their way to sing his praises. I try to when I think he deserves it, but nearly every time the replies are something along the lines of "let's see him do it in a GF" which just kinda feels like

I suspect he’d be good for a rebuilding side, he’s just not capable of being a top line finals coach and never will be

Yeah but that's the reason Ross Lyon is still coaching .

If history is an indicator neither Longmire or Lyon will coach a premiership winning side again. So keeping longmire is delaying our next flag
