Hi everyone,
I have a Macbook Pro 2017 which I use for work. I'm a teacher so I'm constantly carrying my computer around. In a massive case of first world problems, I wanted to see if I could stop bringing my Macbook home with me (just to limit its potential of getting broken whilst in transit) and instead, use my iMac at home to do the work I need to do at home.
What I want to know is, is it possible for me to access all of my files using two machines and have any updates I make on one appear on the other? I'm not a complete newbie, I did do a few google searches on this, but most of the articles I could find related to the computers being on the same local network. Whereas in this situation I would like to keep my Macbook Pro at work whilst I access the files using my iMac at home. However, I haven't been using Apple for very long, so there are some basic Mac things that I'm still working out. (Such as the keyboard shortcuts)
Is this even possible? I know that iCloud and Dropbox offer potential solutions. Dropbox tends to slow my computer down though and I have some huge files so I would be forking out the dollars to extend my iCloud storage.
