Note that this kid has been going well in the U18 carnival. Should he be good enough to be drafted it will be a crying shame if another club picks him up.
As the son of an ex Balmain legend and R/L international, Keiren making the grade in Sydney would provide the sort of publicity in NSW the AFL dreams about, for any other team (maybe excepting Brisbane) else the opportunity would be totally lost.
Thanks to the Melbourne moaners we no longer have a zone selection, so to be sure, Swans would have to pick him up ahead of his real ranking (as I believe they did with McVeigh) or hope that he goes through to the rookie draft where zone selections remain.
