Whats the go next year for this bloke in everyones opinion??

I watched him on Sunday and he looked really good. Lots of confidence and has certainly bulked up in the top half.
His game against Essendon a few weeks ago was really impressive aswell. Seems to work well with McGuane. Hopefully he will keep his spot and become an important part of our backline next year along with McGuane and Thursfield.

Was in big trouble a few weeks ago but his improved form over the past month along with our lack of taller options with this years retirements (Moore plays "tall" for 189cm) has probably saved him for 2008.
I think there are plenty of other borderline types around 180 - 185 cm further in the gun.
I would like to see Moore play perhaps on a wing because he has good pace, good evasive skills & ballance.
Perhaps could evolve next year like Jacko did this year.

I hope Kel stays at Punt Road. Showed some really good signs toward the end of the year and could become an integral part of our backline.

Yeah he was in the same situation as Jackson was and did exactly the same. Came good at the right time.
Running off the half back line would be ideal with his pace.

Big Fish -- Small Pond
A VFL player aligned to a Senior AFL List should dominate against a non-aligned VFL team.

How's Moore going in the Seniors?......Hmmmm

Geez give him a go Delibrate. Injuries have plagued him over the last couple of years. Just give him a go and see how he performs after a full preseason. If he cant cement a spot in the seniors by next year then let him have it.

He is 189cm and no more then a 3rd or 4th tall option. The fact that we have gotten rid of Gasper, Kellaway and Hall in the last year means we will probably keep him for the last year on his contract. He is VERY lucky because he will be 24 or so next year, hardly young, and has shown less the Jay Schultz IMO.

He would have to have a stella season next year playing at least 15 games to be kept on in 2009.

Some of you supporter see that he plays 1 good game in round 21 and one average game in round 22 and suddenly he looks the goods after showing next to nothing for 4 or so years.

You need to ask yourself, if Tom Roach had played a stella game in his farewell, who you have wanted him to leave?

his performances near the end of the season were very impressive - i had written him off - but a run of good performances can change anyones mind. he has also began to show he has soime leadership in him with some key performances in coburgs finals matches. they are just vfl games - but finals are finals to players

our lack of depth of tall defenders will save him - would be insane to go into next season with just thursty, mcguane, polak (who is a forward) and bowden.

moore stays - and its do or die in 2008

the problem for and with moore is that he is seen as a tall, when in reality he is the same height as deledio. he will NEVER be able to match it with j brown or buddy or fev or even lucas. given that, he is a flanker who has played one half decent game at afl level in 3 years. i was at the coburg game on the weekend and yes he played very well and took 2 screamers but he was playing as a key defender on someone below afl level - something he will never have the luxury of doing in the ones. one swallow does not make a summer, in my book he is in the gun, depending on how many spaces on the list we want to free up. could come down to a choice between moore and kraks, and i know who i'd rather have.

Give him a go.
How long has he been on our list and he finally produces some passable games and deserves to keep a spot on the list.
Its this sort of attitude which has held us back for so long.

He isn't even a tall.
He has no real position.

And lets not forget Frawley said upon debut he would be a 150-200 gamer.
Enough said

Looking from an outside perspective, I think Kel Moore has the build and attributes to play a permanent HBF. Has great pace to cut a lead and good ball use which can be lacking off the tiger half back line ( Raines). Keep him away from deep back where he can get outweighed by the gorilla forwards and let him run the wings... In saying that, hope he gets cut up against Willy this week haha

well - in reality - he isn't

in reality - he is 190cm - which is the same height as will thurstfield (who plays on all those players you mentioned) and one cm shorter than mcguane who is @ 191cm

Deledio is 188cm - and Kelvin has about as much pace as he does - probably slightly less.

deledio is taller then that, havent you noticed that the rfc site has a habit of not updating profiles, as most our players are exact same height/weight as they were drafted;)

Will stay :D

He recieved strong support from the majoritory of Tiger supporters just before the halfway mark and he copped a short term injury. He was showing plenty then.

Comes back and plays another couple of solid games which showed improvements.

To have hall and gas retire while having some very young defenders would surely have him staying for depth.

Remembering we are all judging him while he's played all of his games in a losing side, bar the essendon win where he managed his best performance.

We also are judging him on games where he was never meant to gain his own ball.... being in the tagging role on the likes of O'keefe and Yze where he kept them well below their average possesions of the ball.

he has all the obvious; clean skills, speed size and a little bit of height. Couldn't see a reason why you wouldn't want to work with that while paying him very low $$'s.

He's only had one pre-season with out injury and his fitness levels this year is amazing compared to previous.

If we had a fairly solid defence, then I'd accept he would be likely to go... fact is... we don't have a structured defence as of yet.

LMAO....Jackson's a dud too!

A dud with a bit more balls and is now able to rough up his opponents. Rather have that than a skillful player who recieves everything.

King and Jackson bring in a bit more grunt to the side.

I don't rate him as a great player to be honest, but the attitude towards the game is something we don't see enough of in the Tiges line up.

do you like any of our players?

Yeh....the guys that AREN'T a waste of time who are playing consistent Senior footy....even if they are given a game.... guys who take their chances when they get them.

Lids, Foley, Kingy, Thursty, McGuane, The Polax, Browny, Newy, Jacky (after a few pre-seasons)

Honest Players you can build a future around.
Most of the rest are just treading water.

Then there are our wonderful losers who CAN'T step up....
Moore, Schulz, White, Meyer, Jackson, JON, Casserley.
All Kings of the VFL......Big Deal !!!

At least we've given Coburg some good-average VFL players. :thumbsd:

Jackson's got a screw lose......how many times does he pull up on the chance for the ball well before the ball crosses the boundary line?
His inherent judgement is extremely poor. You can't unlearn (bad grammar) that!
Yeh Jacko's great at roughing someone up, cause his brain goes into automatic.
Ask him to decide on the correct option and he blows it.

Just watch him carefully next Coburg game.

Thing is, you can't get rid of em all in one year..... therefore you sort out your prioritories in the team.

We arn't solid in defence... Moore stays... :D
