The bloke has gone backwards this year.

He's too slow and cant kick to save himself.

Anyone who wants to debate the issue with me. I give you the following to debate:

1. Round 1 - Barry Hall kicks 7 goals.

2. Anzac Day - 3 Quarter Time - Has a shot 30 metres out almost directly in front and MISSES! Would have made the margin under a goal

3. Against Hawthorn - Near to Quarter Time - Receives a free kick 25 metres out straight in front and misses. Would have put us up by 4 goals in the wet. We lose by one point

So he's gone backwards because the best forward currently in the comp kicked 7 on him and he's missed two set shots on goal?
Bit simplistic isn't it?

He's not at the peak of his powers, but few in our side are at the moment.
He's learning new positions, he's a developing footballer. How many footballers of his height and age are currently setting the game alight?

Little cause for concern in my book.

He isnt having a great season. I like seeing him where he doesn't have to be accountable for an opponent. Either Centre half forward or spare man in defense, however NLM plays that position better then him now.

Kep is in my dreamteam so I have been keeping a very close eye on him when I see the bombers play. Probably alot closer than you guys :p

He has been moved around alot, especially since Lloyd went down. He was tried up forward but that didnt really work. He isnt a KP in the natural sense. He needs to play up the ground and use his ability to link play, whether that means playing CHB, HBF or wing I dont know. He isnt the explosive big lead and mark type. He can find alot of the ball if you play him in defence and let him run it out (which is why I picked him in my DT). I think a run on the wing might do him well. Especially if you get him to drop back into defence abit.

Keppler hasnt gone backwards, as Sheeds said, he is just being tried in different positions to see which ones suit. He bulked up considerably over the offseason and is just getting used to the new weight, if he can get settled in a position, whether it be wing or CHB, he could be a real asset to the club.

He played his best footy last year as a backup ruckman playing around the ground. Couldnt understand why he wasnt tried there b/w rds 2-5 when we only had Hille and Ryder. At the moment a bit lost in the forward half

He's in my dream team too, but thats beside the point. I think that he looks best when he is running the ball out of defence. He has a great motor and spent alot of his pre-essendon footy playing on the wing.. I see him as being a cross between Goodes and Embley...

Embley is 190cm, Keps 198, so there not that dis-similar in physical characteristics... He would provide good support when dropping back in defence as he has already proven he can take a pack mark and at the other end of the ground could take a few grabs in the forward 50 if left unguarded...

Would certainly be hard to match up on. But his disposal would need to improve...

I refuse to be too harsh in judging him, hes only a young fella so hes got to be given time to mature into an AFL footballer, and the bigger blokes usually take longer.
Stick with him, he's going OK, and he'll be a great versatile player in a year or 2 I reckon.

Ok he hasnt had a brilliant start to the year but he certainly hasn't gone backward. He would have had his butt kicked against the big blokes in previous years and he has missed set shots for goals before.
He is still young, and you can't expect these players to improve out of sight every single year. He will take a couple of years before he starts to really hit his straps. He will be a good player, and will have a 15 year career.

A couple of obstacles on the road that is his career no doubt, but he has the talent to overcome them.

I'm still not sure where his best position is, and I don't think Sheeds and the boys are any closer to working that out yet either.
