Kevin Sheedy

Although im certain it wont happen, would be want to get Kevin Sheedy down to Geelong to work his magic.
Although we probrably we dont need any help, i'm sure he could help out some how as a part time bloke.
Also, i think Geelong should try recruit a Wayne Carey or Dunstall, an ex- key forward as a part timer to help develop the likes of NAblett, Hawkins and Grima. Does anyone agree with me?

I like Sheedy but I don't really want him at Geelong, not sure why, just a feeling. I guess I really just want Bomber to stay and the Cats to win more than one flag.

I really really don't want Carey at Geelong. He was a brilliant player but a lousy character and at the moment we don't need any distractions. His arrogance is off-putting too.

Dunstall? Maybe but I'd prefer Plugger!

Would love Sheedy down as a mentoring role. Maybe as a development coach of types. Let him work with the likes of Selwood/Hawkins.

Although the chances of that are quite low, as he will have a line of teams all after him.

Yep i agree with Plugger, he'd be great, especially for Hawkins.

Who else would we want coaching wise? Dermott Brereton? although i dont thing he would.

That's an interesting idea. I think the reality is that Sheedy will be a senior coach again. The latest talk is Melbourne (TFS). I think he sees himself still being able to offer something at that level, anything less wouldn't satisfy him at the moment.
In a few years those options may be more likely.

Personally I'd love to see Sheedy go back to Richmond and see if he can turn the Tigers around. Get rid of Wallace, whatever it costs, bring the messiah home.

yeah i agree then he can trade off their first round draft pick for campo and jay nash, try and convince ashley macintosh to come out of retirement along with jose romero and danny southern. But dont loose faith....he'll take them to the top.
The guy is great when it comes to coaching....but his record with recruicting is absolute gags.

Bomber and Sheedy didn't see eye to eye when Bomber left Essendon after being one of Sheedy's assisstants.
Don't really think that Bomber would be too keen on having the old bloke looking over his shoulder.
As for the forwards coach, do you even know who you would be replacing?
