News Key Tigers Commit - RFC Website (Grimes/Jackson)

Valuable Richmond midfielder Daniel Jackson and talented, young defender Dylan Grimes have signed contract extensions with the Club.

Jackson, 27, and Grimes, 22, will remain at Tigerland until at least the end of the 2015 season.

The pair’s commitment adds to the list of Tiger players who have extended their contracts so far this season, including Jack Riewoldt, Trent Cotchin, Alex Rance, Brandon Ellis, Nick Vlastuin, Chris Newman and Jake King.

Great stuff - Wonder what kind of coin Jacko would be on? Being one of the senior guys at the club, I can see him being on a bit but would be good if he sacrificed a bit of his salary like Jack and others to help free up some cap space.

Jack said today on SEN that Dustys contract just got pushed back with Cameron leaving just like his did and expects everything to be resolved soon!

No word on Reece though but he wasn't asked about him!

Good to see the obvious faith in Grimes. You'd have to think and hope that the players recognise the faith shown by the club in sticking with players with chronic injuries and repay the faith with loyalty. Foley, Moore, Grimes etc. Hopefully a cornerstone of a really positive culture..... Dusty, please take note.

Trust me. Jacko is an extremely reasonable person. He would not ask for $1 over what he should be getting. Club man through and through.
