Nah the real future simply has a chip implanted just behind and above your left ear.

This chip is able to communicate directly to your brain, simply activated by thought.

This chip has a remote link up to the mobile communications network as well as a link to the state sponsered authorative multinet(yes a paradox.. but we all cant have flux capasitators).

With this chip you can call on the worlds smartest thinkers, philosphers in a micro-instant.. You can uplink, in an instant, to all available information that isn't kept classified.

This is the future, our future.....

The future is we become cyborgs....

In fact we became cyborgs the moment the bicycle was mass produced... But this takes it to an entirely different stratosphere.

Did I say all that out loud?

I wouldn't say that scenario is that soon Mog.. the one I outlined would surely be acheivable within ten years, if not already..

Its simply a matter of creating a machine that can process and translate electrial pulses or comands.. binary no doubt (but Im not a maths dude) that can communicate to the brain so we can control/understand, AND connecting that preocessor between the chip behind the ear, and the brain.

Simple see.

I heard that they're getting rid of keyboards in the future and the new thing to use will be a remote control.

Anybody heard about this?
When PCs become entertainment centres. But there will always be e-mail so the remote idea is a bit limiting.

This is the future:

Carry your PC around with you and plug it into a full-size keyboard/mouse/monitor wherever you sit down. Marry that box with 3G and you have just about everything you need.

had the dlink rep come into work and the very near future is the completely afffordablr wireless appliances with artificial intelligence etc. fridges doing the groceries as soon as something runs out.

the cmputer entertainment unit will become one just like on the jetsons:)

the dvd will come and go with movies coming down the internet and sent to you by foxtel or whoever with the piece di resistance

a wireless access point set top box capable of playing all media formats.

in stores very soon. no media needed just recieves input from the net or other wireless network providers

Sounds very much like vapourware we've been hearing about for years.

What is their definition of "artificial intelligence"?

The problem here is that people LIKE to use media, because they can burn copies of their mates discs. A box like that will be fine, but for Mums and Dads who have no wish to mess around with copying movies.

In ten years, though, the Mums and Dads will be the kids that grew up on easily accesible content via things like Napster, BitTorrent and Kazaa.

Having said that, if they get the pricing right and it can be hacked so you can burn the stuff to DVD or CD I'll have one.

$5 a new-release CD or movie is about the right price as you've just eliminated manufacturing, packaging, transporting and merchandising the physical product.

i grew up with the tandy computer and thought it was wizbang stuff, i worked at an insurance company who were one of the first with email and internal networking cables everywhere.

so the wireless future of being able to send signals to a media box and back out again is here.
you would be able to record as you can send the signal back to the dvd recorder.

wireless appliances is not the future its here. each appliance can have its own level of ai something like airconditioners.

even tivos supposedly learn your viewing habits and record from this,

have found a link for you of the product we will soon be selling

youd be amazed at how quickly people of all ages are getting into setting up networks in thier houses,
