our kicking is appauling and disgraceful. i thought we employed 'choco' royal to fix up our skills as he was touted as the best skills coach in the league. our kicking to a target (especially a forward) is terrible and very frustrating. we don't go the first option and instead of kicking out in front of the guy, we put it on his bloody head so the defender can jump over him and spoil (no wonder richo gets so bloody frustrated). that is simple u/12 stuff. and the amount of times a kick dropped short was incredible. the boys better fix it up for next week and thank god we play hawthorn. a chance to get some form back.

in the first quarter, gaspar, chaffer, tivendale kicked floaters under no real pressure which went to a Geelong player. We were playing well and leading at the time and we let Geelong take the lead at quarter time. One other player kicked the ball out of bounds on the full under no real pressure. These were very poor errors, which I wouldn't expect from our players in most games even from Chaffey and Gaspar.

today we let them score so easily but could of stoped it from happening if we kicked the ball to the target on the full. to many times the ball would land a couple of meters infront of the leading player who had his opponent breathign down his neck and the player making a mistake because he couldnt take a mark and got tackled straight away. if royal is our skills coach he really needs to work with the players like tivers, kellaway, gaspar, chaffy the list goes on

I've heard Choco interviewed a few times and he said his primary duties are the skills of the players and the set-up at stoppages.
I was amazed at the way the players gave up the ball with or without pressure but is it just the skill level being deficient or is more about the decision making errors by the players?
I tend to think it was a bit of both.

From an outsiders perspective I thought there were some good signs but I think you nailed about the skill level letting the team down.
Choco's a good man and he will work the guys very hard on it for the rest of the season.

I'd imagine it would be very difficult to get established players to signficantly lift their foot skills. My feeling is we're just going to have to wait until the side is made up largely with kids drafted over the last few years because they are the ones that Chocco is going to be able to mould.

Now the gloss is off Wallace a little bit the list can be scrutinised without the bullschite of how every player is going to better with Wallace.

You would have thought on the forum that some of our duds from the late eighties, early nineties would have been champions if they had Wallace as coach.

Last years delistings were the bleeding obvious, next cull are the blokes who reflect our lack of skill in relation to the competition.

This was a pure and simple reality check that some of our supporters needed

Take note MadTiger

the wallace style hasnt kicked in fully. Hey if we kept the same midfielders in the middle after quarter time, we wouldn't have been belted in the second. Think about it PRR

you are delusional madtiger. we are so far away from where you think we are it is not funny. the cats got a few goals in a row and the boys heads went down. it is going to be a long year i feel, but we will be better off in the long run. the way you talk its like we would have won if we had just capatilised on a few more oportunities in the first quarter. cold hard fact is the cats had a crap pre-season, had steven king on one leg, no mooney, harley and another tall whose name escapes me and still pulverised us without breaking a sweat.

I feel sorry for you

Have you written a new letter to Terry to outline where our team fell down yesterday and written up a new game plan for next week?

Perhaps you should think about it MT !!! :D

We have a team that has no heart, our only saviour is the fresh blood coming through but even they need 25-50 games under their belts before we see the results on the board.

Your a dreamer we will struggle again this season, get used to it.
